Fit perfect and very comfortable. I had a pair from another brand, but these are so much better. Plus, made in the USA.

Bought my Bean boots in 1988 when I as a freshman in college. Resoled multiple times. This time the uppers were chewed up by our new puppy. Called by a representative who genuinely cared that I cared about my cherished 35+ year old boots and discussed what was actually possible to fix and they did it! I appreciate the personal service, speaking to a real person and the fact that it could have been suggested to "just buy new ones" because it would be a lot of work to fix. Furthermore, the repair cost was nearly nothing.

I can see how LLBean became so popular with this boot! Mine are the uninsulated style so I can adjust my warmth with the thickness of my socks. They're the most versatile, comfortable and functional footwear I've ever owned. I love the look of them too. I bought these for cutting and clearing wood this winter in the cold sloppy northern Michigan winter weather. Walking in the 30/35 melting snow was soaking my"waterproof" footwear in less than an hour. Changing shoes and socks 2 or 3 times to get a days work done was getting old and very annoying. I bought these and some heavy "Smart wool" socks like LLBean recommended to wear inside of them. I now work all day long with comfortable dry feet! These are not big and bulky either so I am not tripping over them. I bought 1 size smaller than I wear in a regular shoe and they fit amazingly well. I don't understand how they do it but I can step into them with no socks and untied laces like slippers to step out the back door with my dogs and they fit almost as well as they do with the heavy wool socks in them. I know I'm going to be able to wear these this summer when it's sloppy outside also. They're like magic! Another great thing is the comfort of the gum rubber sole and the chain style tread. It's comfortable and doesn't hold dirt so you almost never track in dirt with these if you scrub them off at the door. There is really too many positives to list with these boots. I wish I would have bought them 40 years ago. They are my best LLBean purchase ever. I just bought another pair for having at my cabin in the 8" uninsulated style and another pair of 6" for my son. If they last like many people have said they do I'll probably only be buying more for gifts for friends and family.

Boots were first ordered in my normal size (11), too long, so returned them and got size 10 . They are perfect with medium wool socks.

I gave these to my husband for Christmas. He loves them! They fit perfectly. After reading the reviews and fit recommendations I sized down from an 11 to a 10. The fit is spot on and very comfortable! Thank you LLBean!

All of LL Bean products are exceptional quality. However, the laces have changed since I bought my last pair probably 12 years ago (they do last a Long time). The quality of the laces are not as good as the original ones. Hope they go back to those laces.

Good sole for gripping. Main feature I was looking for. Not insulated and loose enough for extra heavy socks if needed. Very pleased with them.

I've had these for a little over a year and a half. Living in a part of Appalachia that is classified as a temperate rain forest (92 inches of rain/yr), I needed something that would keep my feet dry when working around the barn, pastures, and woods. I wanted a boot that would fit my size EEEE feet that I could wear year round, from hot/humid to snowy below zero temps. These WORK! I bought a slightly larger size so that walking would pump air in and out during swampy summer weather while wearing a light sock. This allowed me to wear a midweight sock in spring and fall, with a heavy, thick wool sock in the snow. The fit with the winter socks is snug, but my feet are warm, and I don't need 2 different pairs of boots for hot versus cold weather. I plan on buying more of these boots, maybe even a slip on for when I just want to walk down to the road and check the mail.

First impressions after a few weeks of use: quality product made here in the USA with a classic look and comfortable to boot (ahem). I expect to own these for a very long time. Pay attention to sizing: I'm a 9.5 in every other shoe. I ordered an 8 and it fits perfectly with light to medium weight socks. Heavyweight socks are still is ok but a bit snug.

I think the 6" is my fav. boot. Just the right height for everyday (light) uses. I downsized to be able to wear with light-weight wool socks. The boot fits perfectly.

Best all around boot ever. This is my second 6" pair. The first I bought 30+ years ago. Had that pair resoled twice by LLBean before treating myself to a new pair. Used for outdoor walks, cutting the lawn, all outdoor chores. Great in wet weather and not too deep snow. I grab my insulated 8" pair for deep cold snow days. You can't go wrong with these boots.

I have had these boots for about 8 years now. Great fit, keep my feet dry, quality throughout. I'll definitely buy again when these need to be replaced but at present rate that will be a few years off. Wish I had purchased sooner.

Bought as a gift for my dad. Fit perfectly. Uses them when he walks out to feed the deer in the morning. Keeps his feet dry in the dew soaked grass.

Fall is coming and it is time to get my new LL Bean Boots out! This is my second pair- first pair lasted 25 years. I will wear them fall, spring, and winter if the temps are above 25. If you buy your normal size they do run big. Just buy some LL Bean Boot Socks and they will fit perfect. I like them a bit big to accommodate a sock. Wash the grime off regularly. To treat the leather, I use Sno-Seal or mink oil. To treat the rubber I use mink oil to keep it slick & bright. Remember to wash the laces in a sink of soapy water too a couple of time a year. For really cold temps, I have another 25 year old pair: 10" tall, Thinsulite insulated and Goretex lined. I hope they never fail because they do not make that model anymore.

Take a size 10 shoe so per instructions, I bought this in a size 9 as I wasn't going to go overboard with thick socks. Overall, fits well. Foot has a little more room for thicker socks if needed. Should lace the boot fully otherwise, foot will be less secure in the boot and may move around more than you want. Would recommend sole inserts for more comfort and insulation if wearing them in the winter. Based on what you get, these Bean boots are pricey. A well known competitor offers the same type of boot for the same price but they're insulated. Would suggest Bean's prices reflect this difference in the future or up their game by offerring the same boot at the same or better price than the competition.
