These are everything advertised - fit well, comfortable, fully waterproof, and look good too. I already had the shorter and full calf versions; needed something in between fo walking the dogs. Just the ticket for those cold, wet mornings. Do observe what they say about the sizes - they run large...

All I can say is that I have been trying to get this boot for the longest and now that I have a pair I am glad I made the purchase it was worth it. The boot is great, the fit the style and the comfort.love it, love it, love it

Love these Maine Hunting Boots. New pair replaces ones bought nearly 30 years ago that were still good but the soles were going. Fit true (with heavy socks) comfortable durable stylish and functional. Great great value and nothing like owning the original not a designers copy of an All American original.

My wife and I just spent two weeks in Alaska, where the weather tends to be very changeable. We packed our LL Bean boots and kept our feet comfortably dry, whether kayaking, hiking or just walking around at the various parks we visited. The arch support is good, so our feet didn't get tired. And, BTW, these are not new boots...we've both had ours for over 10 years. But they just don't wear out. Maybe if we wore them every day? For the money, you can't do better.

The only reason I bought these was my gradson approprated my last pair! (and winter will be here soon)

I wear the L.L. Bean Boot 6 inch , insulated every day of the year 6 to 10 hours a day. These boots are the toughest boots money can buy. It takes me four years to wear out a pair. I work commercial construction and I'm very very tough on boots. This says a lot for the L.L. Bean Boot. I have worn L.L. Bean boots for over thirty years. I highly recommend these boots.

They are nice boots that i got for a trip to Vancouver BC. I have no idea about water tightness or grip but they look good and are well made in the USA

I have worn Bean boots for 13 years in Florida for construction. They are water tite and have a steel shank. I will use Bean boots as long as I work.

Just the boot for muddy Hobart /Tasmanian winters .not a walking boot.more a working boot.I had to send mine back i expect them to arrive soon.Cheers Stan

This is the boots what I have wanted. I don't want to wear them in a rainy day though I know they are a water-proof. Great and beautiful boots. Thank you L. L.Bean.

Bought these for my boyfriend who works 10 hour days as a Florida landscaper. He's been in the buisness 25 years and said these are the best boots he's ever owned. Very comfortable, keeps feet dry in rainy season. Ordered size down as recommended on site - fit is perfect.

These are the third pair of these boots I've purchased over the past 30 years. The quality is still the same--the high quality I've come to expect from LL Bean. They are waterproof and comfortable. A true classic!!

Once again, I have a brand new pair of 6" Hunting shoes. I've been wearing them for many years, my first pair were a gift from a friend who retrieved them from her father who passed away. I wore them the rest of the way out and started purchasing my own. I wear them for casual business dress in places like Vancouver, B.C., San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA...anywhere with unpredictable weather. I wear them with business casual but have cheated and worn them with a suit on especially sloppy days. Their classic look really needs no apology.

I finally replaced my 15 year-old Bean boots with a brand new pair. I bought the same size and width as I did back in 1995. The new boots fit exactly the same. I am amazed at the consistency of fit and construction after so long. Thanks for your continuing commitment to LL Bean product integrity!

I just bought my 3rd pair of these boots - the 1st being 30 years ago. Ideal for wet grass or heavy down pours, in the country or walking your dog in Central Park - they're great! The leather gets softer and softer over time while the bottoms keep you dry. I typically wear a 9 4E and have plenty of room in a LL Bean 8 W. This coupled with the fact that LL Bean has the best customer service in the world - I mean it & wouldn't say this about any other company - LL Bean is simply the best!

I live in an area that is damp and your boot have always been on the top of my list. I am planning a trip to northern Maine this summer , so am real greatfull for my new boots. I have used LL Bean products for over 50 years and have always been very satisfied with your products. Your the best, thanks!

The boots where exactly what i expected. I ordered my standard size rather than going the size smaller as suggested. This gives me the option of wearing heavier socks if i choose. I where a stanard white sport sock so the boots fit well, but still have room for heavier socks if needed. Comfortable right out of the box. No break in needed for me. Just in time for the spring season of wet and mud. Perfect for my needs.

The boots are fine. And, although they didn't arrive before the snow melted back a bit, they're great for going out into my muddy yard to feed the birds. Your advice to wear thick socks with them was good; they're much more comfortable that way. I screwed up the order process, but your reminder that there were items in my basket was helpful, and moved me to try again, and figure out how to get it right and complete the order.

I have tried various imitation boots like these over the years, but they don't measure up to the real thing. My advice - just buy them and you'll be happy in the long run - nothing looks like them, fits like them, or wears like them. Follow the fit advice and buy their boot socks while you're at it.

I was excited to receive my boots ahead of schedule. They are very basic but well put together. I was expecting more of a structured feel but they are actually quite soft underfoot. I wear a 10.5 and followed the instructions to order 1.5 sizes down if you wear medium to light socks. With SmartWool light hikers, the 9 Narrow fits brilliantly. It's great to have the option to order a narrow in a boot--it's a great fit.

What's not to like? It's technology that was invented in the USA, still manufactured here. If you spend any time outdoors in sloppy weather, you need a pair of these. Also pretty handy if you spend time in a boat, the soles won't mark up the deck like some other footwear, but your feet will still stay dry even if the deck is awash. I normally wear a size 10.5, ordered the size 10, works just fine.

Took these boots right out of the box and walked 2.5 miles in the snow and slush and my feet felt great!...The fit was excellent, just follow the sizing instructions and you should be fine!

Excellent product - I've always wanted a pair of these famous boots. They are perfect for the wet conditions that I am hiking in and very comfortable.

Fashionable, great for rain dressed up or down. Definitely follow the sizing directions! Do not doubt L.L.Bean's instructions for sizing! I love them. Great all around rain wear for going out on the town or in the country.

I have very wide feet and wear orthodics. Ordered size according to website recommendation and was able to insert orthodics easily. Wore during 1/2 day dove hunt in below 30 degree weather with LL Bean boot socks and feet were comfortable. Treated boots with Sno-seal upon receipt and walked in water with no leakage. Always wanted a pair and wish I would have gotten them earlier. Highly recommended.
