These boots look and feel of quality. You can tell they are made with great care, and by hand. I did take them back however, because the size was too large (I ordered a size 8, but normally take a size 9 1/2-10), but that was to be expected per LL Bean's product information. I bought these for a winter boot to wear to and from work, and when I go out to do errands. The boots are un-insulated, so you will want to wear warm socks with them if the temps drop. Although these weren't what I ended up keeping, I would recommend them for the quality and for anyone looking for a lightweight pair of winter boots with classic styling and no insulation. Living in Northern Vermont however, I decided to get something with some insulation.

Love the boots, they look great and fit great. I got the 6" and they are a perfect height for those that want to show off the shoes by bunching or rolling there pants just above the boot. I have gotten many compliments on them already and have only worn them a few times. The only issue I have is one of the pieces of leather that is stitched onto the back is not cut to the correct length so it sticks down past the rubber a little bit further than it should.

The boots are great. Would recommend a size up if wearing thick socks.

Loved these boots for about 7 days with only one wearing....apparently my dog loved the leather feel and taste as she ate one shoe sans the rubber bottoms. I will order another pair and pay better attention.

I haven't had a pair of duck boots in quite a while, but I am very happy to have a pair again. They are practical and perfect for the weather here in Nashville.

What else could you want from a duck boot. Sizes run a bit big so you can wear thicker socks.

Have to say, these boots, plus the customer service have me as an LL Bean patron for life. I was given these boots as a present from Pa and he got me a size 9 when I was around 18-19 years old. I did continue growing, and the boot was under used until I was around 25. I busted out my bean boots for a new job that required a lot of time in feet wetting conditions. I knew I had these in the back of a closet somewhere and recirculated them into my daily swing. After a year of working they decided to fray and the rubber of the right boot ripped. I sent them back to LL Bean and they resoled them and gave me a size 10 upgrade for free. My foot was a tiny bit snug in the origional soles my dad got me so many years ago and now the size 10 is perfect. The worn leather with the brand new soles is a great contrast, and they are the only boots I want to wear in the conditions at my job or when it rains for a week and a half straight.

Hands down...the perfect* weather resistant shoe. I have some. My wife has some. Just ordered for my son who's away at college. Highly recommend.

Generation after generation of my family has had Bean Boots. I decided to complete the tradition by asking for these for Christmas, and boy, was that the best decision ever. As we approach my our (my boots an I) one year anniversary, I would just like to say thanks to Mindy, who handcrafted my boots. They have held up great and are completely waterproof. I wear these boots daily and have for years. I typically wear out the bottoms on 2-3 pair a year so I take advantage of the service to put new bottoms on. I would be nice if the compound was a little harder so as to get more wear time on each pair. I also wish a small package of "Sno Seal" was included like it used to be.

These are for my youngest son. Best boots no matter how much you pay. Very easy and reliable purchase online.

I have only worn them in the house...they look so nice I don't want to rough them up. They are super roomy and go great with thick socks.

This is my first pair of bean boots and I couldn't be happier. I have already worn the boots and they are so comfortable. When they professionals say order smaller size than you normally would, listen to them. It's not a shot at your ego; it's to make sure their shoes fit you just right. It's the way LL Bean has done it for decades and it works. I ordered a 9 and wear a 10 to 10.5 normally. Thank you to ever the person was who hand crafted on my boots, you did a great job!

These were a replacement for a pair that I bought in the late '80s...after two resoles, it was time. The same great fit and feel...hope they last as long. Maybe my last pair?

Got these for my husband who works outdoors in all weathers. These are great for the rainy/soggy days, completely waterproof, but not insulated, so not too "warm" for summer in Indiana. I got him a smaller size than his usual, following the sizing instructions --and they fit perfectly! (his other Bean insulated boots are more of a traditional sizing, don't disregard the instructions!!) Fabulous product, he loves them!

What's not to love - The classic Bean Boot - I wore these in college 30 years ago and now buying them for my son. Great style never changes!

My family loves the boots. My husband, son and daughter all have a pair. I would love to have a pair but the smallest size in women's is a size 6 and they are to large for me. I wish there was a size 5 in women's. Love the style but just doesn't work for me.......but my family loves them.

Very pleased with quality, appearance, and delivery. These do run a little large, but fitting with suggested winter socks does the trick. Would buy again.

I wear a size 9.5 to a 10 and the 9 was much too large. The size 8 fit fine. The exchange was made promptly. Clearly the most comfortable light weight rubber boots I have ever warn. Fully waterproof and easy to clean. Well worth the price.

bought these for my son who works at an overnight camp with children. keeps his feet dry when the grass is all wet in the morning and evenings

I love the quality that goes into making these remarkable shoes. I had the moccasin boot years ago and loved it + it lasted for years until I wore a hole in the gum boot bottom. A true design icon. On a fit note - I have a true 9 2E foot and the 9 2E Bean boot fits perfectly with a medium weight winter sock. Since it's summer - I'll have to wait a bit to go sloshing around in these boots. I also like the new bit where there is a removable insole. This is something I hadn't seen with my original vintage mocs. Cool.

Shoes is really very good. Confusion, as always, was the size. In the Russian size 41 - 41.5 (thin socks) US size 9 (medium density) is large. Chances are you need to buy US size 7 (narrow width)
