Lightweight and so comfy! I wasn't sure if I would like a short jacket because I'm an older person and I'm always cold. I love it! Great for errands when a heavy coat just weighs you down and is too heavy. It's flattering and I bought the blue because all my other coats are black.

I was looking for a lighter jacket that wasn't bulky when wearing and a customer came into my shop wearing one of these jackets. She let me try it on and it felt wonderful and I instantly felt the warmth so I ordered one for myself as soon as I got home. We have been 20 below zero here and it has kept me very warm. And I don't feel like a fat snowman when wearing this. Absolutely love this jacket.

Great coat, exceeds all my expectations! Warmest coat I've owned plus its flattering and the color is outstanding! Fit and finish feel sturdy and I'm confident it is going to last a long time. How warm? Every time i think its cold enough to put on that 3rd layer underneath this jacket, on those days where wind chills are in the single digits and I'm going to be spending a few hours outside....i regret it because this jacket is so warm that i end up shedding a layer in the end.

Ultralight is an accurate descriptionthis jacket weighs less than any jacket I've ever owned. Once I have it on for several minutes, my own body heat is able to keep me warm. I can choose whether or not to wear a sweater layer under it, so it's good for a wide range of temperatures.

I love this jacket in every way! It's so lite and I'm able to layer without feeling confined. Would love one in every color!!!!

Just love this jacket! While I live in Ca with milder winters, we go to our cabin in the mountains a lotand I was plenty warm. I can safely put my keys and wallet in the side zippered pocket when I run up to the store. I'm 5'5 and 140# between a medium and a large but I went with the large so I can where it with a thick sweater and still be comfortable. Pretty color (blue). I would recommend this too a friend.

Warm, light and comfortable....priced right, love the color

This jacket has a rugged zipper with teeth rather than coils which I appreciate, though I would have preferred a two way zipper. I am typically between a medium and large with LLBean clothing, and the large has room enough that I can wear a sweatshirt and a light vest under for especially cold or windy days. It is the warmest of my winter coats, in fact too warm unless I am not moving or the temperature is in the single digits or lower. It is long enough to fully cover my hips and butt, and has a cord at the bottom to keep out drafts. Great coat for the coldest days in central NH.

Very light, nicely styled, and good for walking outdoors into the low 20s (maybe lower, but I haven't tried it).

A wonderful jacket for moderately cool weather, and the plum color is so bright and lovely. I have received many compliments.

I purchased the Royal Plum jacket which was a wine/burgundy color. (a little too dark) so I exchanged it for the Ocean Blue which I like. Today at 4 degrees I am wearing my Rugged Parka from LL Bean and saving the 850 Down Jacket for say...about March. It fits very well but more suited for 40 degree weather.

This coat is super lightweight but very comfortable and warm. It's not bulky or puffy. I purchased the rosewood which is a very nice color. The coat is not too short or long. It covers through my hip area which is great. It also fits true to size. I like a coat with a little more room to allow for extra layers during the winter months.

I am 5'8" 155 lbs and the XL fit me just right. I bought it in Royal Plum and it's a beautiful deep purple color. It keeps me very warm in cold weather. I love the zippered pockets.
