I was hoping for a warm winter coat for skiing and outside activities. The outer fabric on this feels so flimsy I feel like it will tear easily and there is not much insulation. I will be returning it which is a shame because it fill really well and the color was gorgeous.

I wanted to love this jacket! It is very lightweight but also not warm. It's more like a spring jacket that looks like a winter coat. It feels like the material is not very sturdy but it has been too cold out to wear it and find out. I would not buy this again or recommend it to you.

So, I have several down jackets. I've been wearing them for decades. This was my first LLBean purchase. I wore this for the first time on a day maybe 36 degrees with a turtleneck and warm flannel underneath and I was so cold just walking to and from my car! I was shocked. With how much loft it has, it should be warm. My arms were warm but my core was so chilled. So I wore it to an indoor appointment and kept it on during the whole appointment, then kept it on in my house for another hour. The whole time my core never warmed up. It felt like I had no jacket on at all. It is so weird. I've never had a down jacket fail to warm me up indoors for goodness sake. I love the fit, I love the color. It's really flattering and really comfortable. I mean, the fit is perfect Just have no idea why it's supposedly filled with 850 down with decent loft and it's not at all warm! Maybe a fleece lining in the core would help? It was so cute that I ordered a hooded version too in a different color, but after actually wearing this one, I'll be returning the other one when it arrives.

I have two old warm jackets from LL Bean which I love. Truly disappointed with year's garish colors and styles/ This electric blue had a fire engine red interior.

The jacket was hardly a petite. The sleeves were way too long. I normally order petite sizes from LL Bean with few sizing problems. I wound up with the Down Sweater as it fit better.

The jacket look dirty because you could see the dark feathers through the shell. What a disappointment. I expected better from LL Bean

Outer layer was so thin you could see the down inside. There was a stain on the cuff of the sleeve.

Love this jacket and have it in other colors - however, you can see the dark feathers throughout the Field Gold and the coat looks like it has dirt spots all over. Thought the first time might have been a fluke, so I returned it. The second one was even worse! I am stunned that this color made it past quality control. I expect more from LL Bean.

I ordered what I thought was the same jacket I have bought 2 other timesin a Mediumbut this one was HUGE. I compared it to my old one (which has several holes) and it was larger by inches all around. It also has more obvious logos which I don't care for and seemed not as soft. It's so disappointing when an item you have loved gets changed or discontinued. I can't imagine ordering a smallI'm not a small personso I returned it and will lose the shipping fee.

I purchased this coat a few years ago and LLBean has changed the design so much! If I had arms like a monkey it may have fit better in the arms. But also the channels are sewn further apart , so it looks bulkier and big. Not an attractive coat anymore. Very disappointed. The color was beautiful.

The description for this jacket is incorrect. It says, "Shell and lining: 100% recycled ripstop nylon," when in fact the lining is recycled polyester. I am gifting this to our stepdaughter.

Nylon shell with nylon lining and less than 1/8" of down between them. Practically no insulation, and not warm below 40-50 degrees. This is suitable for spring/summer wear only. Other manufacturers make much warmer jackets. This is not a good value for the money.

I purchased this Ultralight jacket after the first one I bought got a small hole and started leaking feathers. I bought the jacket on 11/21/22 and by 12/28/22 it had a small hole and it too is leaking feathers. I am 67 years old and don't skate board or do anything where you might fall and scrape the coat. I wear it for normal activity. I would NOT RECOMMEND THE ULTRALIGHT products, the shell is too thin and rips/gets small holes almost magically. I have dropped $400+ on two jackets that leak down. DO NOT PURCHASE the ULTRALIGHT products. They do not hold up and I wasted hard earned money on these coats. Very disappointed, not the LL Bean quality it's customers have come to expect.

I purchased this jacket with the idea that I would get a petite fit. As luck would have it, the sleeves are proportioned to that of a regular size jacket and WAAAY too long to be petite. The sleeves are not cinched enough to keep the sleeves from sliding down over my hands. For what this jacket costs, they can do better. This one's going back.

I had to send it back because the zipper got stuck. I have bought before and never had problems until now.

I ordered this jacket twice, it came to me as a petite small every time. The ASIN number must be wrong.

I'm sorry to say I was greatly disappointed with this jacket. LL Bean is my go to store, but the quality of this jacket was very poor. If I held it up to the light, I could see light through the stitching, and the quality of the fabric was also poor. Very flimsy. A large was too tight in the shoulders, but the extra large fit.

3rd time I wore it it developed little pin sized holes and feathers started coming out. Fit was good, kept me warm, but obviously won't work for the long term.

I wanted to love this jacket. I loved the weight, color and feel of it. However, since LL Bean has changed to a "slightly fitted" style, your jackets don't fit me. I have several jackets and coats from LL Bean but I guess they were your "relaxed" style. I purchased two different sizes, one was too small and the other was too large. Very frustrating. It's the same way with your tops now also. Love your clothes but my body does not love the new silhouette.

Over priced, not good construction, zipper got stuck. Returned it

Made me look like a meatball. I am pear shaped and it therefore did not fit well.

I have the same jacket from 2 years ago and was excited to see the sale on this one this year. However, the fit is totally off from the older style. Very boxy and sleeves are too wide and doesn't fit nice like the older style. I will be sending it back. Not impressed at all. Made in Cambodia maybe they make them to a different body type I don't know but not impressed. LLB has gone down hill big time. Prices remain high but quality is quickly declining. Sad but true......................no longer the fan I used to be with LL Bean

I bought this exact coat a few years ago loved it. This one had arms 3 to 4 inches too long. I returned product. Sad, Ireally wanted a new one

Bought this to replace an older but still functional Ultralight 850. Not even close to the same quality. Will keep using the old and return this one.
