We ordered these for our company, but we have a lot of tall athletic women in the office. We were going to order the Men's to get adequate sleeve length, but they aren't the same jacket. We all love the look of the women's, but a tall jacket (length and sleeve length) would be AWESOME!

Sleeves too tight. I ordered one size up to be loose, but garment was still too close a fit. I prefer a straight cut and loose fit for outer garments. I returned it for the new fleece jacket.

I cannot fathom what's up with LL Bean, but I have had to return too many items over the last few years because of the bizarre sizing. There don't seem to be any standards any more! I bought this jacket in a women's 1X. According to the size charts, the sleeve length is supposed to be 32-1/2", which fits me. But the sleeve length of the jacket itself is around 34"! It's a well-made jacket and fits fairly well otherwise. Here's hoping our local store has other sizes and I find something that doesn't make me look like I'm dragging my knuckles!

The fit was not comfortable like other LL Bean clothing I have purchased. The sleeves were tight and the collar was very stiff and extremely uncomfortable. Because of the price, I decided not to keep it.

I really wanted this jacket, but sadly had to return. I ordered both the medium and the large to try. The medium was snug, the large was too big.

I love llbean products and I own many items. This item is ok but I just am not as happy with it as my old, well worn llbean fleece jacket I have owned for at least ten years. I believe the quality of this jacket could be better. The new one is not quite as warm as my old one. No elastic in the wrist bands although they are a bit stretchy but will and do allow cold air up ones sleeve. I did not care for the big green label sewn to the front of the jacket. I think embroidering the name in the same color as the jacket would have given a better appearance or nothing on the front. Also trying to put the jacket on or take it off while wearing a knit top or sweater is quite a challenge. Once you have all that on, it is fairly warm but not in the wind. The wind goes through this jacket more than my old reliable llbean fleece jacket. I am not returning for several reasons, (1) I removed the ugly label on the front, (2) I used my points and (3) I really need a new jacket. Again, llbean has great products and this one is nice, it just seems to me not of the same quality as my old llbean jacket. Even though, I gave it a thumbs up, I would not recommend it without a full disclosure of my concerns about the jacket.

I would really like this sweater jacket if LLBean would embroider a more subtle logo and get rid of the awful droptail hem! I don't understand why so many tops now feature a dropped hem. It is VERY unflattering on most women's behinds! Love the fabric and colors, though. Very cozy!

Runs tighter in sleeve than any medium shirt from llbean I own and is very fitted. I could get a large but due to fabric thickness afraid it would be bulky. Love the sage color. Too bad it isn't right fit for me.

Color is attractive and I love the rich purple color, which is why I purchased the jacket. However, the back is too long; the back slants down in style from the front and this is unattractive. I do not like the cut for the back of it. It would look better even all the way around. may have to return it.

IF this was a substitute for the good old Fitness Fleece Full-Zip WITH zip pockets, it'd be getting a better review. THAT's what I need. The fit and fabric are fine, and it's got zip pockets. But I need a lighter weight, not-knit fabric (I can imagine it catching on things and getting messy over time). And that horrid logo on the breast... NOT flattering. Put it on the pocket, if you must have an external logo. Since I have a mid-weight fleece jacket from another company, I am returning this. Maybe I just didn't read the fine print...???

The lilac was not as bright as shown and flecked with too much gray/black. The fit was just off. I have an older version that was styled differently and is perfect except it's now too large. I am 5'9" and ordered both the regular and tall in a medium. The large would have drowned me. The waistline seemed high in the regular and long in the tall. The sleeves were snugger than I would like with a sweater underneath. Neither fit just right so I returned both.

Although this seems to be a very popular jacket, I found it to be too tight and since the sleeves are that same sweater material inside, my shirt sleeve would ball up inside which I found annoying. I returned it.

I have 5 of these! Gorgeous. BUT, they pill badly on the sleeves and waist down on the front as well as where the seat belt covers the shoulder area. OK for travel but I can not wear to family parties. (Too much conversation from my family members about how theirs pill too!) After a year it is too late to send them back and I don't want them to end up in a land fill. Only suitable for wearing around the house.

I love my Long Vest made out of the same material and I intend to buy a second Long Vest very soon. But I returned this jacket, made from the same "sweater fleece." It doesn't have the vest's longer back, and the sleeved fleece jacket seems to be not warm enough for a jacket. The pockets are grand. The trim and the pocket linings are fabric that might not hold up as well as the fleece itself. Which is true on the vest, too. In any case, this will probably serve some women well; and there's the men's version, too. I'll stick with the vests.

Cute but runs HUGE! I'm always a small and that's what I got and it fit like a large. Ridiculous for how much I paid.

I bought one of these for myself two years ago and I loved it! So I recently purchased one for my daughter. She is 5"3 and 105 pounds so I ordered the petite, xtra small. The sizing is way off! It's huge as evidenced by the photos. The piece has changed slightly from 2 years ago with the bottom being almost bell bottom wide and the fabric is not of the same quality. I was disappointed as I was going to order another one for myselfbut I will not and the new one will be sent back

Nice fabric and feel. Piping not a complementary color- slight clash. Sleeves tight at cuff and too long so returned.

The color was beautiful but I didn't care for the material. It felt rather cheap, in a polyester-ish way.

Love this fleece zip up. However,in less than after purchase the right pocket zipper failed. I could live with that but now, less than two years after purchase, the left pocket zipper has failed. The front zipper still works but I wonder at it's durability. The jacket itself, is fine.

I bought this sweater fleece in 2018. At that time, LL Bean was a little out of my budget as a student but I had friends who had this exact sweater and swore by it. I bit the bullet and ordered a petite medium in sailcloth. I was happy with the material and how warm it is and the fit worked out well for me as a petite person. However, this sweater pills constantly. I've modified the way I launder it to see if it will improve but it doesn't matter. It's the single worse pilling clothing article I've ever owned. I had to buy a pill shaver for this sweater. I have to do a full sweater shave after every single wash. Maybe my sweater was an anomaly because my friends' sweaters didn't pill. I'm writing this review in 2024 because I was shaving my sweater for the 100th time in 6 years and I felt compelled to share my experience. The sweater has held up well in terms of how it feels and the wear and tear but the constant shaving is actually very annoying and detracts from owning it. I can't in good conscience get rid of it because it's still the most expensive sweater I own. If I could go back in time, I would have contacted customer service for a refund or exchange but I was a busy full time student and I just accepted the sweater as is with all of its pilling. I can only imagine the quality has gone downhill like most things in life. Please learn from me and contact customer service if you start to notice pilling because it's a problem that won't go away.

They seem nice, but they are too big for me, I wear a size 00, so I returned them.
