Purchased this for my elderly Mom and the petite sizing fit her very well, which can be a challenge. It is a nice weight and warm enough for her brief outdoor excursions.

I have tried the name-brand version of this jacket twice, but in both seasons the sleeves were way too long, and I have long arms that have made getting sleeves long enough a problem in some garments. I really like the shape and length of this jacket. I sized up for when it is really really cold and I need many layers, but even so, it hangs well. I was able to buy it in Bright Sapphire, a color that gets snapped up really fast--I've missed this or something similar in past years, so I've been holding out for it and got lucky this season. As a very pale person, I want some bold color, and this provides it. I have not worn it many times, nor have I washed it, but a friend who has one from a past season warned me to wash it inside out to avoid it looking pilled and raggy--hers does. I think the name label on the front is too big and garish, but since this jacket is much cheaper than the name brand, it's a compromise I'm prepared to take. I'm not as brave as another reviewer who took the chance in removing it.

I purchased the sweater fleece in bright sapphire in October 2017. It has worn well and washed well. I like that it is a bit dressy. The only concern I have is that there is pilling along the sleeves where they rub against the side of the jacket (pilling on the side also). I would like to purchase another color, but I am turned off by the new bold LOGO. When I have received compliments on the jacket, I have informed the compliment giver that it is from LLB. I really DO NOT LIKE THE LOGO on the new sweaters. LL Bean, please remove the logo.

It's a nicely made and good looking product, but the problem is this: Since the smooth part of the fleece faces out and the soft, fuzzy part faces inwards, that makes getting the jacket on over many different other kinds of fabrics worn underneath a struggle. I often wear wool shirts in winter and sliding the jacket over them just takes more effort than some older fleeces did, with shirt sleeves riding up as I try and pull the jacket on. Consequently, I use the jacket less than I ordinarily would.

Love the sweater jacket, but not the big bright logo. We need an option to order products with out the logo.

I really enjoy this full zip fleece. My only complaint is that the sleeves are on the shorter size (at least on the one I purchased back in fall 2017). Quality is fantastic, warm, and has held up in many washes.

I love these and own several of them. I was planning to replace one that has worn out and noticed you have put your logo on the chest. I pay for these clothes. I should not have to advertise for you and be a walking billboard. My only hope is that the label is sewn on in a way that I can remove it.

I bought this as a gift for my fiance, and she loves it. She's 5'4", 114 lbs., and the Misses size small fits perfectly. She especially likes the collar design, which looks stylish folded down, or can be zipped up into a turtleneck on a brisk day.

The collar is a bit stiff. But , I feel with wash and wear it will soften up. It does what I expected it to do. I am able to wear it when snowshoeing and being active in and out of doors. I am enjoying this product.

great color. ran small, I ordered regular size for me and it was too small. I did not like the sweater look. I prefer all fleece instead

We haven't had a real cold spell to put it to the test but it felt very cozy and warm when I tried it on. However the collar basically can only be worn fully zipped as it is too bulky and the zip too rigid to fold back when you come indoors. As cozy as it is when zipped, it is rather annoying as your chin keeps hitting the rigid area at the top (I hope you understand what I mean). I would not have purchased this sweater if I hadn't seen other reviews that said they had removed the ugly bold logo sewn onto the upper chest (so thanks to those who posted that). It took several minutes to do it very carefully with a stitch snipping tool but once removed you couldn't see where it had been stitched. It is a fairly tight fitting garment if you want to wear it over a flannel shirt and would probably be more comfortable over a smoother turtleneck or tee if you are at the upper end of sizing range.

NIce change from my usually fleece jacket. Love the way it dips down in the back to cover backside. Not bulky. I just wish it was a bit warmer. I thought since it was a sweater fleece, it would be warmer than my regular fleece jacket (not LL Bean Fleece jacket.) It is not.

I bought the spruce green sweater fleece and as far as wearing it goes, it is soft and warm and one of my favorite pieces of clothing. I've seen many shades of green, and this is a special color. I really like the zip-up pockets, too. If you're expecting a heavy, thick fleece, this isn't that - it's medium weight and nice to have on a chilly evening. The only thing holding me back from wearing it every day is that garish logo distracting from the lovely color. It may go well on other garments, but not this one. Complementary color brand-name monogramming would have been better. This Katahdin patch is stitched on so tightly that I am searching for a tailor willing to carefully remove it. Who advised L.L. Bean that patching on this large, incongruous logo would be a good idea? Other than that, it's a worthy fleece, and I'll buy more as soon as they make the logo more subtle.

Jacket fits nice and snug, is quite warm. However, how can I remove the LLBean label from the front of the item? I'm opposed to this new trend of having the LLBean label sewn on the front of clothing. Please make this an option, rather than the default.

I wear this jacket for walks in the neighborhood with the dog. The sailcloth color is light enough to be seen at dusk or on a cloudy day. It is warm enough for cool southern temperatures. The drawbacks are about the sleeves. The sleeve pocket is not large enough to be useful. The sleeves, especially with the fleece lining, are too narrow. I can't wear the jacket with a flannel shirt or light sweater - only with a plain knit t-shirt or turtle. Also, the pocket lining fabric seems delicate; hopefully, the pockets will hold up. Happy with the jacket, but not thrilled.

This jacket is a hefty fabric that feels like recycled water bottles. It's soft on the inside but the outside feels a bit like plastic, stiff and not stretchy. I bought two of them because I needed to replace the old Fitness Fleece I have worn out. Please bring back those old Fitness Fleece jackets!

Great color..Nice fit..Quality product. EXCEPT for the bright LLBean label prominently positioned on the left front chest level. I don't care to sport logos on my clothes...unless Bean wants to pay me for advertising services. If I can't remove the label without damaging the jacket this one is going back. Why not a more tasteful embroidered logo in an analogous color at hip level?

I purchased the dark green color which is beautiful a true hunter green . The zip down is true to size, I purchased a medium, I'm 5'2 154lbs. The quality is very good and the sweater is warm but more suited as a Spring sweater in my opinion. The cold wind goes right through and even if you wear a long sleeve shirt you might still feel a chill. I love the LL Bean logo, for me it looks great just were it is. I will definitely purchase another in a lighter color.

The sweater fleece is warmer than regular fleece jackets. Would have given it 5 stars except I do not like that LL Bean puts name on outside of jacket. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes to carefully remove the LL Bean logo.

I loved the jacket but it was actually too tight (slim cut) for a shorter person. I sent back for a larger size and am awaiting new item. I will most certainly continue to shop LL Bean as the selection, prices and ease of shopping is top notch

I love these jackets (even with the patch!) but the coarse (yet soft) weave of the exterior traps dog fur, which sticks straight out due to static and is all the more noticeable. This also makes it difficult to lint roll the fur off because the fur is literally trapped. My solution is to have one light-colored "house" jacket that doesn't leave the house nor is worn in front of company or when I'm cooking. The rest of the jackets I wear to work and take off when I get home. I own 4 of these now so they are worth the extra efffort!
