The Tartans used in all LLBean flannels are beautiful and the flannel is great quality. Nana, Me(mom) and 2 daughters all chose different tartans and LOVE our hooded, full zip, flannel "jacket". We are all enjoying the lightweight yet warm comfort and the casual yet neat look. Makes a good option for a cardigan at work or for casual wear. Nana used to buy all the grandkids LLBean duds for Christmas - now adults they all remember many favorites. This jacket reminded all 4 of us of a children's hooded pull-over that all 7 had and LOVED. We jumped at the chance to order and enjoy this "blast from the past" - not to mention satisfying our Scottish roots. I'll likely pick up another at some point in a different tartan.

Wanted this item to use for lounging around the house. I typically buy tops XS for close fit or S for relaxed. I bought this in S and after wash and machine dry, it is still roomy. More like a M. I love the extra room. Fabric is nice. Keeps me warm on these cold winter days with the thermostat turned down.

Love this shirt! It will work great as a top layering piece in winter, but would also work just as well as a jacket in the spring or fall. I love the plaid (I got black watch plaid), the weight of the fabric, and the styling. However I found my normal size (reg-large) was a bit too large, so I sent it back and ordered down to a reg-medium, which now fits me perfectly with room to layer underneath. (Although I am short, I prefer ordering regular sizes rather than petite, because I like my tops long enough to cover my rear).

Love this plaid flannel shirt...comfortable and stylish with zipper and hood... fit and style provides room for layering...nicely made, wears and washes well... have received many compliments when wearing...

I bought one of these shirts last fall. I liked it so much I bought two more in different patterns. This shirt is great for layering. It is very soft and comfortable. I'm very pleased with the fabric and quality of this shirt also.

Tried one of these because I liked the idea of the zipper and the hood. Same nice thick flannel as the other styles of flannel shirts but it has POCKETS on the seams. What a wonderful feature! You can warm your hands or tuck your wallet or some cash in and leave the purse at home. Colors are nice. I have ordered 2 more since the first one. Nicely made and washes and dries well. A winner!

My wife was quite pleased with the shirt. It is the usual good quality. She wears it for a little extra warmth around the house, and as part of her layering when going out. She assures me that it is quite snuggly.

This is the perfect zip-up flannel for over a t-shirt when the house is chilly. Not super heavyweight, but soft and cozy. Thinking it will also be great outdoors for fall/early spring as light jacket. Bought one as a Christmas gift for my oldest daughter. Her sister liked it so much, I went back and bought her one too (and on sale after the holidays!). Washed well, no problems with shrinkage, etc.

This is so comfortable I bought two. They zipper works with ease and the fabric and construction quality is evident. Highly recommended.

I wore this jacket on my vacay to New Orleans after Christmas with the weather being wet and a little cool. It was comfortable, stylish and perfect for sightseeing on foot. I wear a med to large in tops as my chest is 38 d, this one is very roomy and definitely should have gone with a med. But I still love it!

It is everything I was expecting.

The material is soft and i love the design! It's thick enough to wear in 50-60 degree weather with a long sleeve underneath and be comfortable, or as a layer in colder weather. The one down side is that when it's zipped and i sit down, it bulks around my waist, i think it's because of the measurements of the hoodie, but this is not a big deal to me.

I bought this shirt for my daughter...she loves it and I wish she didn't so that I could keep it ! ! The fabric is soft and substantial and it is very flattering. Very satisfied...would buy another.

I love this for when a fleece is too much but you want a nice soft layer over a tee or top. It falls long enough to cover but is not bulky. I wear it from fall through winter. In fall for outside and in winter as another layer around the house and under my coat. Love the leather pull at the bottom of the zipper too.

Great for a cool day in the Florida Keys! Anything less than 80 is cold down here and the hood keeps the wind out of my ears! Favorite item to wear! I also use it as my housecoat!

First flannel I have purchased in years and as soon as I got it out of the box I was impressed with how soft it was. I tried it on and did not take it off for days! (Not really) But I wear this flannel all the time. It's been a mild winter so far in SW Ohio so I wear this on days that aren't as cold requiring a winter coat. Will be placing an order for a second one soon.

I love this hoodie/jacket. It is so comfortable. It is perfect for the cooler weather. I wish I could wear it every day. I'm going to check to see if I can buy another in a solid color.

I like this shirt, soft and comfy. Good with layers under or by itself. A little boxy in the cut, but roomy and comfortable. I have the green plaid, very nice traditional colors. I think I'll be wearing it year round as lightweight sweatshirt.

I absolutely love this hoodie. It is true to size, prefect fit. I bought the black watch plaid. It has wonderfully deep pockets. It is attractive, soft and warm. I loved this so much that a week later I bought the fleece lined flannel black watch hoodie but it is nothing like this and I returned it. This is a fantastic buy.

Very comfortable and exactly what I wanted. My niece loved mine so she took it. Now I need to order a different color for me. Makes good gifts for family members.

This is one of my most favorite LL Bean purchases EVAH! Flannel is so soft and the side pockets are great. It is so comfortable.

This hoodie is a nice alternative to a sweatshirt or other light layer. The flannel is really soft! The fit was a bit on the large side, but I don't mind because that makes it more versatile for layering.

I received this as a gift and absolutely love it. It's much heavier and warmer than I expected and the quality is top notch. Pockets are roomy but don't add bulk. The only downside (but not enough to go down to 4 stars) is the sizing. It does run large. The fit is slightly tapered at waist but even with that, this fits very loosely on me. If I was wearing as a shirt, I'd exchange for a L. Since it will mostly be an outerwear item for me, I'll keep the very loose XL.
