It's just the right amount of a little large to wear over a turtleneck for chilly days or a tee shirt when you need just a little warmth. The bottom is wide enough and not clingy for larger hipped women like me (size 12-14 generally). The zipper works great and I love the rich purple, red, black plaid color. I've gotten many compliments. It has started to pill a bit (hence the 1 star off perfection) in just this one season of use, but I wouldn't trade it back for anything. I also love the sherpa lined version of this top for colder days. Highly recommend!!

Cozy. Sizing is weird. I found the arms a bit short, so finally settled on a Medium Tall, not a Medium Regular. Love the pockets!

Comfortable to wear. Just warm enough to be cozy without turning up the thermostat. Wishing it were easier to turn back cuffs.

Perfect for my needsfull zipper, four pockets (two outside, two inside), hoodie! Its warm, comfortable and functional.

The best part is the ... hoodie. Or is it the the zipper? Possibly it's the cheerful plaid that is so bright. I enjoy wearing this plaid flannel with sleeves that are long enough (it's a tall), and a cozy hoodie, as a shirt or unzipped as a jacket. I like the L.L. Bean flannels - soft, cozy, low shrinkage when washed in cold water, and flattering fit that look great whether I am wearing them on the sales floor at L.L. Bean or out walking in the woods or hanging around the wood stove on a chilly evening.

Love their flannels. The sizing is true to size. Got a large but could've gotten a medium. Have been losing a little weight. 5' 2" medium build. Would highly recommend. The fit was slightly relaxed. Live in MI where lately has been colder and snowier than usual.

I love the idea of this shirt. I ordered the tall and find that somehow the sleeves are still not as long as they should be. And somehow it's also not actually long enough. In general I find LLBean clothing to be "boxy" and not very flattering, and sadly this was no different. I was hoping their tall clothing would open up a new world of clothing options for me, but this is not the case. I was very disappointed in the fit.

This hoodie is the ultimate in comfort and warmth. I can wear a layer under it too, adding versatility! The deep pockets are roomy and things stay put. This has become my favorite hoodie to grab and go with!!!

I skipped over this online because I thought the material looked too thin but then saw it in the store and gave it a try. This is a true cozy and soft flannel shirt with the perfect thickness but its a hoodie! Im 52. 122lbs and the petite small fits like it was made for me. Fitted shoulders, perfect sleeve length with a relaxed fit that allows for layering. I wore this last night over LLBs long sleeve prima cotton tee - my boyfriend loved it, and so did I! Thank you LLBean for not making everything (or anything) with drop or slub shoulders like every other retail brand. The flattering tailored look of your pieces is why I keep coming back.

It is what I was looking for to wear in the house when the weather turns cold. Comfortable and fits well.

The quality is great. The only problem I have is the size. It doesnt fit like a 3x, more like a 2x. Also shrunk after washing in cold water and air dry.

Warm, roomy, large pockets inside and out. Designed somewhat oversized to be like a shirt/jack. Im 52 ish 118 lbs and I bought a petite small, but will order a petite XS like my regular LL Bean flannel shirt. The bottom is roomier than regular shirts so its more like a jacket. Ive worn this over a shirt, several layers and even layers with a goose down vest as necessary on our cross-country fall mid-south camping trip from VA to SoCal to Oregon. Ordering another and gifting, too. Love love love.

Love it! Just the right length. Just the right weight. Makes an outfit look more put together but feels like a sweatshirt and comfy!

I had to return this tartan flannel hoodie because it was cut too large. I purchased it in reg medium but it was too large overall. The sleeve length and shoulders were fine. I was afraid to order a small because I figured it would shrink too much. I don't like to wear my clothes too tight and I was afraid to chance it with a smaller size. It was well made and the colors were beautiful.

I purchased this and wore it with the "Bean's Cozy Mixed Knits Pullover Forest Shade Heather, Item: TC512344" to my daughter's house for Thanksgiving. She liked it so much, I gave it to her and purchased another one for myself.

I like this hoodie a lot, it's soft and warm and I especially like the 2 inside pockets in addition to the 2 outside ones. I took off 1 star because of the hood. I don't know why most every hooded item I have bought have these "too large" hoods. This one is not as bad as some but when up the front edge comes down to my eyebrows. I had one once that actually covered my eyes and part of my nose. Most online pictures never show the hoods up from front or side view. So you can't really tell the size. At least this one has drawstrings but most don't. Perhaps the manufacturers should put an adjustment strap in the back like used to be on my kids coats years ago, cause I often want the hood up and loose and not really tied down crushing my hair etc. Sorry to go on and on about this but its been a point of irritation for some time!!! I cant believe I'm the only one who has this issueAnyway it's a nice hoodie otherwise.

The quality of the material and workmanship is great! The only thing I don't care for is that it is not fitted as it states. So I feel it makes me look larger. I may take it in.

Full on sides but do like the hoodie a lot. I took XL, 5-8, glad I took XL. Very sharp looking.

I love everything about this item. Its the perfect Goldilocks weight (not too warm, but keeps the chill off).

Super square fit (which is noted as most relaxed fit so great if that is what you are looking for); sleeves are a bit short; fabric is a bit stiff. Pretty colors.

What a great jacket! I bought it to wear during the holidays but I think I may wear it into January. Great to wear around the house with a t shirt underneath. The colors are vibrant.
