Generally I love LLBean products. Except for one fatal flaw I love this sweater too. But it has a dangerous zipper. The danger is to car seats. I bought a very expensive (125 k) luxury car. As soon as the weather cooled and I wore this, I noticed small tears appearing in the leather surface I sat on. This continued to worsen as I wore this sweater. The zipper was shredding the leather! The zipper rubbed against the leather seat surface when unzipped and it got between me and the seat (when I was driving with it unzipped). An inexpensive garment was destroying the expensive leather seat in a luxury car. That is unacceptable. I had to stop wearing this sweater. It's downright dangerous to nice cars. Beware.

The jacket is very nice. I didn't know the thickness of the fabric inside and outside so I was not expecting that heavy a fabric. I thought it was a little lighter fabric that could be used inside the house during the day - but it is not the case.

I didn't like to quality. I returned it many days ago and have heard nothing!

I do not like this sweater at all.it's itchy and the fleece already looks worn

The jacket was labeled LT but the jacket must have been a medium as the sleeves were very short. This is the second time I've ordered something from LLBean that was mislabeled. I won't be buying from LLBean again. .

My husband is 6'3" and the tall jack is way too short! Will be returning.

I bought this as a sweater primarily for indoors during fall-winter-spring here in northern AZ as it is advertised as a "Sweater Fleece". I immediately noticed that it was not that warm. The cold/chill goes right through it. Also, after several months the lower front puckered up and it began to "pill". After only washing it once - according to directions on the label - these characteristics greatly exacerbated. I hardly wear it at all any more.

it is a shame that the M size is no longer available in slightly fitted. The M size is to large on me.

Looks great and was about to order another to replace the one I bought just over a year ago. I was going to replace it due to the pilling that makes it look worn, but I just read other reviews about pilling so I realize it wasn't just me. Never washed it, and never just wore it around the house to help make it last but it didn't help.

I've been a long time customer of LL Bean and have been hesitant to write this review. But this coat is just too much for me. I originally ordered this fleece as a replacement for an old LL Bean fleece I bought in 2016 that the company apparently no longer makes (Item # 500020). Though this new coat looks nearly identical to the old one, save for one very important feature: a liner. Again: THERE IS NO LINER IN THIS COAT - IT IS BARE FLEECE AND NOTHING MORE. The old version of this coat DID have a liner. The absence of the liner here is quite important as the fleece itself is very thin - in fact, it is literally SEE THROUGH! I'm not kidding: unzip the coat, face the inside of the fabric, and hold the coat up to a light or window - you will literally be able to SEE THROUGH THE FABRIC! Still don't believe me? Try actually wearing the coat: you can literally feel even the slightest of breezes wafting through the fabric. I am absolutely flabbergasted that someone actually approved this coat for sale. My faith in LL Bean has been rocked. For the first time in my 35 years of life as a New England native I have been forced to commit the heresy of buying a coat from a company that is not LL Bean. It is a very sad day indeed... Avoid this poor quality coat.

I bought this fleece approximately 2 years ago. While it fit well, it frayed on the upper back and right sleeve for no apparent reason. It was not worn much. I was surprised at the poor quality as I have other fleeces from other brands that I wear much more, and they still look brand new. I have always thought of LL Bean as having great quality. I unfortunately will not be buying another fleece from LL Bean.

We returned it within a month because it pilled so badly it looked years old. This was more like a jersey material than fleece or polypro.

Item rang up wrong at checkout. Manager gave me an attitude when she had to come over and correct the issue when i was the one that was inconvenienced. Never shopping st this store again.

I am really disappointed with this jacketit is hard to put on because the sleeves are not lined. My shirt sleeves bunch up and it is hard to get comfortable with it on. It looks great but miserable to wear.

This jacket has poor quality fabric. After washing, there was much pilling. The appearance of the jacket was poor. I'm disappointed because my previously purchased Bean fleece jackets and pullovers were much better quality. I will not buy this product again

When this first arrived my husband put it on and it looked great. Within a few days it started to pill. Now the pilling is so bad that it looks like a very old and worn out jacket.

This product is not as good as the old style plain LL Bean fleece jackets. Sizes run smaller, quality is subpar.

Disappointing. Not a sweater or a jacket. Cold air flows through the porous material like a sieve. Good for watching TV in a chilly room, but not much else.

This is not the fleece that we expected. This was more of a knit fabric, which snags easily, unlike fleece. It was hard to see the weave in the pictures, so we ordered it. But when we got it, we realized, this was not fleece. We sent it back.

Too tight in the chest and sleeves way longer than the original medium my husband has from a few years back. He ordered a small for a snug fit but had to return it.

Returned the sweater, it was not what I was looking for. Wanted a heavier fleece only-not sweater. My mistake

I should have returned this jacket. The material pills terribly. Received towards end of January and didn't pay attention as is hubby's jacket. He didn't wear much at first but the next winter I noticed material pilling terribly on arms and front. Just not up to LL Bean quality. I should have returned before year was up but didn't make it....just so surprised at the poor quality.

I was sad to see you no longer have the fleece in the same style. I ordered this as an alternative. It says it's slightly fitted, well it would be if I was 9 months pregnant. The back hung out about 12 inches from my back and there is no way to tighten the bottom. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.
