LLBean scotch plaid flannels are the best. I like that some of the tartans are authentic.

This is an outstanding shirt, and Black Watch is an open tartan so anyone can wear it, even me! As expected it is the usual L.L. Bean high quality and I'm wearing it a lot right now. I even got Black Watch boxers to go with it.

Honestly, I haven't bought any *yet* from the website. However, I found one at the thrift store a while back and I never take it off. Comfy, durable, warm, everything you'll want in a flannel. Perfect for all seasons, even summer, I wear mine to keep the sun off of me. I very much adore the fit as well. The one I found is a M-Reg and the sleeves and torso are long. It's refreshing to find clothing that is long enough for my arms & torso. Beautifully crafted and I will be purchasing these forever more. Thank you for making quality clothes!

I bought these Portuguese flannel shirts as a gift for my son. The flannel is soft with a good amount of weight to it. My son had them washed and he said there was minimal shrinkage in cold water and hung to dry. I was extremely impressed with the quality.

The flannel from LL Bean is still the best around. I was happy to get this patchwork flannel shirt on such a great sale price. Saving it for Christmas for the hubs. He has many, but this will be a good addition

I bought this shirt because I liked its appearance in the catalog, and it didn't disappoint when it arrived. I do not try on your shirts before wearing them as they always fit. However, I am waiting for the weather to turn colder before wearing it.

Soft fabric. Washes well. Great addition to wardrobe that includes many other variations of plaids.

This is a very nice looking shirt that looks great over a tee-shirt in a complementary color. It holds its shape and color through washing and drying. My husband is big and tall and it fits him nicely.

The best! Even in the Arizona desert, LLB flannels are perfect over our winter months. Warm, soft, durable, and attractive for casual or more dressy occasions.

A nice, soft, well made flannel with a great plaid color. Fits a little larger than normal size, but not too big.

This shirt was for my husband. His responses to these questions are typically laconic. "Nice shirt. Enjoying it. Like the Grey Stewart plaid." The traditional fit is a touch on the larger side, so he ended up getting one size smaller than his usual.

This shirt offers a quirky take on the classic New England preppy style. I'm tired of buying thin flannel shirts that feel like cardboard after a few washings. These shirts are my winter staple. I get a new one every year. They are extremely comfortable and the perfect weight to wear indoors or to layer with for outdoors.

Waited many years for this tartan to return. Being a member of the Swann family (ok, it's the German spelling, but we still believe we are part of the family) I bought this tartan for all my family years ago. Well, sons and daughter have grown up, I have grown out (still 5'9", but now 275 lbs and wear 3XL), and grandchildren are here. The Swan tartan has finally returned, and time to restock the family. This is a tremendous shirt! SOFT, warm, excellent fit, excellent stitching, and with buttons and tartan aligned; one could not ask for a better flannel shirt. With a tremendous blue as the prominent color, it will match almost anything, and with spot on sizing (sleeves not too long or short, tail long enough so not to pull out of pants while bending, and comfortably loose while not looking too large), it will look exceptional on everyone. Well done, LL Bean. Thanks for bringing the "right one" back.

I love these shirts and have bought them for decades. However on my last order I was a bit skeptical as to how the Black Watch Patch shirt might look. But it was offered at a great price so I included one on my order. Candidly the photo sort of turned me off. But when I received it I fell in love with it! It is my favorite shirt and I am wearing one right now. And as crazy as this might seem I loved it so much that at this price I couldn't resist ordering 4 more identical shirts! I think it looks much better in person -- actually looks fantastic in person. If you have never purchased these shirts this model and price offer is a great place to begin your LL Bean collection. Very comfortable and looks great!
