Disappointing, material thin, collar doesn't look right. Have purchased many flannel shirts from LLBean over the years but this one isn't up to standard.

The shirt is great, but the XL size fits like a 2 or 3 XL. I have several other LL Bean shirts that don't fit like that. I returned the shirt to a store and their XL shirts were also to big. Ended up getting a large that did fit. Something is wrong with the sizing of this type and color of shirt.

The shirt itself is nice, but a large fits like an XXL. Returning for a medium

This shirt is fair as flannel shirts go. I does not compare in quality at all to the Wicked Good Flannel shirt. Unfortunately you can no longer buy the Wicked Good Flannel in plaid colors. Big mistake by Bean!

Looks good, feels good but the sleeves are way too long. I have to roll them up and then they don't lay flat.

The cut of the shirt didn't fit my husband. The shoulder seams were appropriate, and there was more than enough material in the back but not enough across the front. It was very snug across the front and looked odd trying to pull the side seams more to the front to allow for a small belly. Perhaps it would work for another type of build but didn't for his.

The shirt is an OK fit, nice color, but the sleeves are ridiculously long, nearly 3" longer than similar shirts.
It is labeled "regular", but is cut for a tall guy.

I sent the shirt back yesterday. Quality fine but the biggest large I have ever seen. I compared it to a xlg shirt and it was the same size. Requested a medium and see how that one fits.

I have been a customer for many years. This shirt has been a favorite of my husband's because of the availability of the tall sizes. In the past, the shirts have been very durable, even with the wear and tear he puts on them. HOWEVER, I got him some new ones for Christmas, and today I discovered the collar had almost completely come off one shirt for about 4 inches. I make garments and could see the collar had not been sewed into the seam correctly. This is NOT the quality I would expect for the price! I am very disappointed to see LL Bean has let things slip to this point. I won't pay this price again for a shirt I had to repair after three months of wear!!!

I bought two (Medium) of these shirts in October. They looked great, felt great, and I really liked the colors, initially. After several weeks and several washings, they shrank a bit and the great colors became faded. After a few more weeks and a few more washings, they shrank to the point that I decided to buy two of the next larger size (Large, Slightly Fitted). They, however, were way too big! I washed them a couple of times hoping that they would shrink a bit, but it did not happen. And so, all four of them have been returned to LL Bean. Very disappointed!

Purchased these in 2017 for my husband. He liked so ordered again this year. Sizing by individual color not consistent. 2 out of 3 received, 3rd one backordered. One fit, one way bigger. I called to see about replacing that color. I was told I had to MEASURE the shirt, call them back. First I don't own tape measure, 2nd she acted like she did not believe sizing inaccurate. 3rd this was probably returned before as it had no tags. I returned it. Back order of other color received and fit consistent with the first one. Buyer beware, if no tags on item, it's probably been returned before for problems.

I liked everything about the fit except that the sleeves were too long. I typically wear a 34 sleeve, but these sleeves are closer to 36. Not the worst thing in the world, but not what I expect for the price.

This shirt looks a little drab after washing and it definitely needs ironing.

Like everything about the shirt BUT the sleeves are disproportionately long. They are 3 1/2" longer than another "large" twill shirt I bought at the same time. So, I will have to take the shirt for alterations-- a bother and expense that will double the cost of the shirt to me. Why such a wide variance?

I have a bunch of Flannel & Chamois from Bean. Shirts, PJ's, bathrobe and so on. The last two flannel ones like the grey and red one Grey Stewart and another red one I don't see listed any more the material is great at the start and not good after 3+ washings. This is completely not typical. I have many flannel and chamois products from Bean years old that do not have this problem.
The shirts were very nice and fluffy at the beginning and looked great. After first wash not as nice. 3rd wash the material had the fluff as pills on top of the fabric. This is not the case for any of my older shirts. One chamois shirt is at least 15 years old and looks great.
I have thought about returning them, but I have worn them a number of times.

Nice pattern but after washing the material doesn't look good unless it is ironed. Not like usual Bean shirts. Ordered large size first time but it ran extremely large. Exchanged it for a medium and it fit. H

I've been buying my husband LL Bean tall large flannel shirts forever. This shirt said 'traditional fit'. I should have read further and realized that actually meant 'relaxed fit'. My mistake but disappointed. Way too big! Now the sales are over and I'll be under $50 so it'll cost me shipping to replace.

This is, by far, the biggest "large tall" shirt I have ever put on. It was very wide and a couple inches longer than other large tall shirts I have. The material is super soft, if that's what you are looking for. I was hoping for a tougher-, sturdier-feeling fabric. But the real problem was the size. Whoa!

LLBean Flannel shirts have long been the go-to gift for my husband's birthday. I had never bought him an LL Bean shirt he didn't like, until now. I bought this for him to replace the Wicked-Good Flannel shirt I bought for him the previous year. He says the quality of the material just isn't as good. It's fuzzy looking. He just wears it around the house. Please bring back the Wicked-Good Flannel shirt!

I have been buying these shirts for over ten years. I usually order a large tall for the correct sleeve length. My last two orders (over the last two years) have been arriving with longer sleeves than previously received. This is somewhat annoying but I have not returned them. My sized sleeve length is 35"....these are at least 36"+. Quality consistency seems to be slipping.

I like these shirts, but the sleeves have gotten longer than necessary. I would not give a high rating for this reason. The No Fly Zone shirt was even worse, the sleeves hang to the fingers...ridiculous tailoring. I would only recommend these shirts if longer than normal sleeves are what you're looking for.

Got my two new Scotch Plaid Flannels in last week. The material is the usual Bean quality however the sizing was terrible. I ordered 2 shirts in Large/regular. The sleeves are so long that rolling the cuff up twice still leaves them just above my wrist. Rather than go through the trouble of repacking them and taking them to the UPS store to return them, I just kept them. Maybe the next one's will fit better. I would recommend these for someone with very long arms. I can't believe every nickname I chose was taken....impossible. Now I won't recommend this shirt to anyone.
