The quality is nowhere near what they were and overpriced. I keep buying a few only because they still fit better that most of what you can easily find.

My initial thought was that it was one of the thickest flannels I have owned. However, they fabric quickly lost its softness and became strangely pilled and developed permanent wrinkles -- two unusual problems in a cotton flannel. Mainly, though, I stopped wearing it because of the fit. A little too short to be tucked, but definitely too loose to wear untucked. It just doesn't look good compared to other flannels I own.

The flannel material is very soft but doesn't seem as high a quality as past shirts I've bought from Bean. Expected better for almost $50. Bean prices have really gotten almost too high for me to continue shopping there. And this isn't just since the pandemic.

thinner than imagined, not as warm as hoped for, starting to pill after one wash - not LLB quality as found in past shirts

Pretty heavy weight flannel. Nice colors, but the shirt is a pretty sloppy fit. Medium is larger than expected and longer than needed. Sleeves would have bean too short for me in a Small. I machined washed and dried it and it beaded (pilled?) up like crazy.

This was too big all around even though the stated size seemed to be appropriate

The shirt is a bit "loud" in its coloration and a bit shaggy in its material. It gives a very casual impression and is not quite right for a dressier event.

The fit is baggy and huge. Bought an XL tall, my husband's normal size. It was HUGE. Returned it for an XL regular. It is shorter but still boxy and baggy. He wears it now just for projects and yard work, which is too bad when I consider the price.

These shirts fit perfectly, but I was disappointed in the thinness of the flannel material. We have purchased flannel shirts from L. L. Bean in the past and they were nice and heavy.

Love the flannel shirts from LL Bean, have purchased before numetous times. But, was disappointed in the craftmanship with this shirt. After two times being washed, the seam in the collar separated leaving a 2 inch hole. Irepaired it myself, but has caused some trepidation in future purchases. Never exlected this to occur considering the cost and reputation of LL Bean for quatity products.

Definitely not slim fit, but a nice flannel for what it is. For reference: I'm 5'11", athletic 190, and large was baggy.

Have purchased many of these plaid flannel shirts in past years. Have found them to be consistent in sizing and quality. The specs are different on this shirt with an increase in over all length and a material which although soft, is lighter in weight than the ones I own. Otherwise decent quality.

Item arrived quickly, but I was dissapointed by the lack of cuff buttons and a buttoned pocket. The sleeves were also quite long. They were much longer than my usually ordered LL Bean shirts.

Thinner than shirts from previous years. Not bean quality.

Not the same high quality fabric as the shirt purchased for my husband 10 years ago.

Heads-up, the Tall size is for VERY TALL men. The sleeves and tails are quite a bit longer than the last 3 I bought a couple years ago.

Sleeves were too long and shoulder seams should have been wider, otherwise fine

6'2" 200 lb. Tall and size large are usually my fit, but large is way too big for me in this case.

It hurts me to write this review. My previous Bean flannel shirts are my absolute favorite articles of clothing. Unfortunately, they've sent me a flannel dress. The quality is amazing, the flannel is super soft, but I'm not planning on tucking these in, and they fall halfway down my thigh, so I would never wear them. If I weren't such a Hobbit, I'm sure the length would be fine, as it is, I'm afraid I'm returning it.

I like the color of this shirt very much. I wouldn't recommend the shirt because I find the fabric too thin, and I don't think it is warm enough.

Disappointed. These aren't made like they used to be. Instead of sending back because two buttons were nearly falling off when the short was opened, I sewed them back on to make shirt useable. I shouldn't have to do that with a brand new shirt from L.L. Bean.

My husband has worn a size M in flannel shirts from Beans for years. He gets at least one almost every Christmas. His arms have not shrunk but the sleeves on this shirt are too long. It is wearable but we're disappointed.

These shirts have a couple of problems as compared with alternatives. First, the button-down collars are too small giving an overall non-luxurious, i.e., skimpy impression. and, second, the material itself reinforces that impression.
