This shirt has great colors and is wonderfully soft. I bought one for my dad (65 y) and one for my husband (41 y). My dad likes his, but my husband thought the shirt would be too warm and that it was slightly constricting in the shoulder area. I'll have to return the one that was for him.

The quality is unmatched. However, the sleeves are unusually long. I'm a 33 inch and it was too long for me. I'm hoping it shrinks a bit.

Although erroneously named ( and gratingly so for anyone of Caledonian sensibilities ), the shirt is nonetheless warm, soft, durable and attractive. It is the kind of shirt one hopes to bequeath one's heirs, well worn and redolent of memory. Collect the set, and wear them eternally.

Love the shirt and the colors. Good quality but I expected it to be a little thicker material for the price. Overall though a great shirt. VERY SOFT after washing...

Overall this is a nice shirt. The flannel is very soft and supple, yet it seems to be holding up well after a few washes. Really the only gripe I have is that the body and sleeves are a bit too roomy. I'm a slender/fit 6'0" and 175lbs and the shirt has a bit of extra fabric around the mid section and from the armpit down to the elbow. I have a medium, which would be a perfect fit for me if it were available in llbean's trim fit.

The shirt is comfortable and easy to wear. The plaid patterns are attractive and not garish. The button down collar prevents the corners of the collar from curling up which can be a problem with flannel and chamois shirts. My only criticism is that the fabric feels a bit lighter than has been the case with L.L. Bean shirts I've purchased previously.

I bought this as a gift for my son. His reponse was all positive about the shirt, in each dimension. However I had it monogrammed as an extra touch and the J is a wierd shape, rendering the entire monogram uneasily recognizable. A potential source of constant questions. Why not make the J a normal shaped J?

Great shirt and I love the color.

The shirt is warm and soft and substantial. Very disappointed when we got the shirt to find that the monogram had been done in dark blue thread on a dark shirt. Cannot see the monogram at all.

My son loves LLBean flannels! Softness is key. My only critique is because they are made of 100% cotton I don't think the wash instructions should say "tumble dry"! It shrunk in arms and width after one dryer session. They have no problem replacing it, so no harm no fowl, except for the extra time involved. Maybe they should put a warning on the website that it may be wise to buy one size larger than your normal size.

Well tailored, great colors, very comfy shirt.

Good quality, good fit, well made, comfortable. Flannel is a little more lightweight than I anticipated, but still serviceable. I would suggest your looking into a heavier weight flannel,and offering it as an option. With most of the textiles coming from China, spend a few more pennies and add it to your product line.

A little darker in person, but I like it. It makes me look more manly, if that's possible - whoa!

Like all LL Bean flannel shirts, this shirt is a good value. Soft, comfortable, washes well without shrinkage and fits well ( I wear a medium). I noticed that this shirt felt as though it had thinner hand than my other Bean flannel shirts. I checked and sure enough the flannel is slightly thinner. Hope this doesn't affect the life of the shirt.

I love the flanel shirts. The only complaint I have is that the collar wears out and gets ragged before the rest of the shirt wears out. I have two in that condition now. Cy

The best flannel and the best value, as usual from Bean. The colors are rich and true. I only put mine through the dryer the first time on delicate, thereafter I hang dry them. I have broad shoulders, and the shrinkage, though minimal, occurs.

Fondly recall these from my youth. Don't know what Bean was thinking discontinuing them but glad to see them back, and arguably better made.

The colors and feel of the fabric are wonderful. The construction is the high quality that I expect from LL Bean. I am sad to see that the fabric is thinner and not as warm as flannel shirts I have bought from LL Bean in the past. If you want a warm shirt stick with the chamois shirts.

As always this is a good fit and the feel is excellent. The order was backordered but final got here in time for birthday.

Was originally given this shirt as a gift back when I was in college and I loved it. Saw this one nearly a decade later and decided to get a new one. I have never been a fan of the button down collars, thus the 4 stars instead of 5. I just iron the collars thoroughly so that they lay flat. Otherwise, it fits me fine!

The size is good and looks great!

This shirt is very well made, fits great and is comfortable to wear and warm. The material is very soft and feels great when I have it on. The only thing I would change with the shirt is adding one more button towards the bottom of the shirt to keep the shirt from billowing out in the front when worn inside my pants.

It's just as described--soft, durable and Dress Gordon plaid I wanted that wasn't available in women's selection. I went with Men's medium. Probably should have chosen small. Love the long back. Only way to improve it is to offer it in women's sizes.
