This is a real flannel shirt, no frills, comfortable feel, nice fit, in my opinion great color (black watch), the way you bought them fifty years ago!

I ordered three of these shirts for my husband and after receiving them he asked me to order two more! He has been wearing them to work every day and loves them. They are warm (just enough - not too warm) and soft to the touch. What's more, they wash up perfectly. Great product!

I am 6'0" 177lbs. The tall large fits me perfectly. It is an extremely comfortable shirt, soft and warm. I recommend that the customer purchase the button down collar. It will prevent the collar tips from curling as the shirt ages. As with all of my previous LL Bean purchases I anticipate this shirt lasting a long time..

I ordered this fine flannel shirt in the cheerful bright red Prince Charles Of Edward tartan. I hoped a Traditional Large would fit my frame and it does just fine. The shirt appears durable and the fabric is not too thin (despite concerns voiced by other reviewers). This colorful shirt will be a high-point of my fall to spring wardrobe for years to come.

If you like flannel shirts but find many to be ill-fitting, poorly-made imports that always look better in the ads than in person, you've just gotten lucky. This shirt fits well, is nicely constructed and roomy in the right places. The fabric is plush and holds up through many washings. I have purchased four of them over a two year period, and they've been consistent in all respects. I strongly recommend them.

Great holiday season plaid. Fabric has good weight to it and shirt is well made. Shrinkage after washing has not been an issue. My husband has had compliments on this shirt.

These classic shirts are great. They fit well, are soft and very comfortable, look great and stand up to a lot uf use. I bought some for my father and for myself, and to this day I cannot find better flannel for the price. Love the classic colors and will keep some in my wardrobe for life!

My husband loves this shirt, it is warm and soft and the fabric is a true classy "black watch" design, the fabric colors are deep navy and deep green, the shirt looks much better when you get it home than it looks on the website, meaning, the colors are not as washed out looking. We are very pleased with this purchase and L.L. Bean's service.

I purchased this shirt for my husband. He is a big guy, 6' 4" and 270 lbs. His arms are 36-37 inches long. I bought this shirt in xxt. The fabric is a nice weight and the fit, perfect. The colors are nice and bright. He really likes it. Thanks

I purchased 2 of the Scotch Flannel shirts for my husband. I couldn't be more pleased with the fit & how great they come out of the washer & dryer.

When I saw the Grey Stewart plaid, I knew just what I wanted....but since it was a surprise gift would the recipient like it? Knowing LL Bean with no shipping charge and 100% satisfaction made my choice easy. A few days after receiving the shirt I got a phone call. He loved it, said it was wonderfully soft, fit perfectly and he was wearing that day. I have never had to complain about anything from LL Bean. Thank you.

I've bought many L.L. Bean flannel shirts over the years. They are all very comfortable and this one is too. Soft flannel does not scratch the body at all. Cuffs aren't too tight on the wrist either. The fit is true to size even when layering underneath. The shirt look great with jeans or slacks. I'm very pleased.

I bought one of these shirts to try out and ended up buying two more and probably after Christmas order some more. Great fit, and wash up very nicely with very little if any shrinkage. The flannel fabric is soft and feels great. If I would have any complaint at all it would be the " Traditional Fit " label thats sewed into the back of the neck that drove me crazy the first time I wore it. I had my wife cut the stiching out and she removed the label. She said it was very easily done and does no harm to the shirt. She recently did the same to the other two shirts I ordered. Bottom line, its simply an awesome shirt.

I'm so glad LL Bean started making these women's flannel shirts out of the same fabric as the men's Scotch Plaid flannels. The fabric is medium weight, the colors are beautiful, and the fit is jacket-like so it can be worn un-tucked alone or layered over another shirt. I'm 5' 4" tall and weigh 145 lbs and a Large Petite is perfect.

LL Bean flannel shirts are well constructed, warm without being bulky, and very durable. I have several and seem to add at least one each Christmas season for myself or my son. We are very pleased.

I've heard from several people that clothing manufacturers have been using less material in their product to save money, so you might have to order a size larger to fit. I've been wearing LL Bean flannel shirts longer than I care to admit and these shirts contain as much if not more wonderful material as they did many years ago.

'Love the quality, wear-ability, and durability of this item. Most men I know like the Blackwatch plaid. All of them like the easy fit and excellent feel this shirt offers. The plaid is very dark; quite subtle.

Good quality fabric, colors, and perfect fit. My husband is 6'5" and 200 lbs. The xlt fits just right. No shrinkage after drying. He was very happy with the shirts. He lives in flannel all winter.

A great shirt. Not my first LL Bean flannel. Very shrink and fade resistant. In fact I can't get it to shrink. I ordered a medium and found it to fit like a large. I went with this in that it is a casual shirt and often worn around the house (and in town on some days) as a shirt-jac. The blackwatch is deep and true in color.

I ordered three of these shirts and am very happy with them. I used the sizing chart and have no problem with the fit. The fabric is high quality and a pleasure to feel against skin. The double button on the cuff allows for some adjustability, which is nice when using the shirt in layering. The only problem is that I wish more tartans were available. Dress black Watch, Campbell, Lindsey, dress Campbell I have seen and/or owned in the past. I'd also love to see Carmichael, Swan, Gordon, Hunter and some of the other wonderful tartans. I also seem to recall a "hunting Bean of Freeport" tartan back a few years that was nice. Overall, this is a great shirt, good for business casual or dirty work in the woods and field and everything in between. I can recommend it without reservation.
