I'm so glad LL Bean started making these women's flannel shirts out of the same fabric as the men's Scotch Plaid flannels. The fabric is medium weight, the colors are beautiful, and the fit is jacket-like so it can be worn un-tucked alone or layered over another shirt. I'm 5' 4" tall and weigh 145 lbs and a Large Petite is perfect.

LL Bean flannel shirts are well constructed, warm without being bulky, and very durable. I have several and seem to add at least one each Christmas season for myself or my son. We are very pleased.

I've heard from several people that clothing manufacturers have been using less material in their product to save money, so you might have to order a size larger to fit. I've been wearing LL Bean flannel shirts longer than I care to admit and these shirts contain as much if not more wonderful material as they did many years ago.

'Love the quality, wear-ability, and durability of this item. Most men I know like the Blackwatch plaid. All of them like the easy fit and excellent feel this shirt offers. The plaid is very dark; quite subtle.

Good quality fabric, colors, and perfect fit. My husband is 6'5" and 200 lbs. The xlt fits just right. No shrinkage after drying. He was very happy with the shirts. He lives in flannel all winter.

A great shirt. Not my first LL Bean flannel. Very shrink and fade resistant. In fact I can't get it to shrink. I ordered a medium and found it to fit like a large. I went with this in that it is a casual shirt and often worn around the house (and in town on some days) as a shirt-jac. The blackwatch is deep and true in color.

I ordered three of these shirts and am very happy with them. I used the sizing chart and have no problem with the fit. The fabric is high quality and a pleasure to feel against skin. The double button on the cuff allows for some adjustability, which is nice when using the shirt in layering. The only problem is that I wish more tartans were available. Dress black Watch, Campbell, Lindsey, dress Campbell I have seen and/or owned in the past. I'd also love to see Carmichael, Swan, Gordon, Hunter and some of the other wonderful tartans. I also seem to recall a "hunting Bean of Freeport" tartan back a few years that was nice. Overall, this is a great shirt, good for business casual or dirty work in the woods and field and everything in between. I can recommend it without reservation.

A fine shirt, soft and warm, fits me to a tee, w/35-36 sleeve length.

All of LL Beans flannel shirts are great. My husband is a big guy and they fit him beautifully. They wash great too.

My grandsons LOVE these flannel shirts. They stay nice wash after wash and last a long time. After nearly 10 years of being well used, I just put elbow patches on one so it can continue as one of the favorites in his closet.

My husband can never find shirts with sleeves long enough and that don't look huge at the waist. This flannel shirt looks great on him and the quality is tops. Thanks.

I usually wear XL tall, but i fit into Large tall in this particular shirt, even after the first wash and machine dry. It fits well throughout, and the flannel fabric is very comfortable and warm.

I was pleasantly surprised when this shirt arrived! The quality of the flannel is great! It's super soft, yet heavy weight, though not too heavy. Just perfect!

I have purchased one flannel and 2 fleece/flannel shirts from L L. Bean. They are absolutely super with excellent durability and construction. For size They tend to be slighty large so, though I often take a large, these three shirts are medium and fit perfectly.

This shirt is super soft. The cut of the shirt is such that there is no binding under the area, across the chest or across the stomach. This is true, even after washing. The color and plaid combination is great for Christmas family gatherings and for parties. Looks great with jeans or khaki's.

I am totally pleased with this soft flannel shirt. Also, I am very pleased with LLBean's Customer Service Dept.working with me to help me get the correct size.

I just purchased the "black stuart" color for my husband for Christmas. I bought him the same shirt last year in the grey stuart, and he really loved it (color, fit, material). I recommend this shirt!! It's a beautiful flannel, not too thick, not too thin, very usable. ;)

Eccellent quality warm & soft

In the past I have purchased many shirts from L.L.Bean & have always been very satisfied with the way they hold up. My husband loves them because of the warmth & softness. As this is a Xmas gift (which is still boxed under the tree) I trust he will be just as happy with this shirt as others in the past.

I have recently purchased a black watch (color) scotch plaid flannel shirt, traditional fit and worn it a few times. I am happy with its good looks and nice warmth it provides during cold weather here, in New York city. I have purchased one more shirt (Grey Stewart color) of the same material.

Soft, well insulated. Fit is at least one size too big, so order down. Otherwise perfect. Bought as a gift for husband and son.
