I called and spoke with Laura after I wrote a 2-star review the other day. She pointed out a few things to me and I was still a bit discouraged. i decided to wash and dry the new Scotch Plaid shirts size medium tall I had bought over the holidays. The problem was the neck was for someone with at least a 17" where I have a 15" (buttoned). They were big on me. I washed them with hot water and then put them in the dryer using high heat setting. Viola, end of problem! The neck shrunk and was no longer loose on me. Everything fit better. Makes me happy now:).

My wife and I bought three of these Hunting Fraser shirts. All were XL, but my son needed a Large. LL Bean processed the return and exchange quite promptly. My wife and sons are descendants of the Fraser Clan and had been looking for these shirts for decades. We are all happy with the shirts in the traditional fit.

I ordered this shirt in large tall for my husband. I put it through the dryer on medium, as it was a little large for him. It came out fine! He loves it!

These shirts are so soft. I bought these for my Dad but ordered some for myself. These shirts fit perfectly but are comfortably roomy. The material is not stiff like the competitors shirts and they are a nice weight. They are simply the best.

I bought this shirt again this year because they are the only flannels that don't shrink after the first washing. Washed and dried and no shrinkage and my husband is happier than a clam because the sleeves aren't up to his elbows!! He says it is comfortable and warm. Good quality and a nice looking shirt!

A couple years ago had purchased several flannel shirts from a well known competitor (you know who) and am very disappointed. They do not wash well, and actually need some ironing to look presentable. Yeah, for flannel shirts. And I have probably worn them less than 15 times each. Bought two on sale, have worn both, washed both and am very pleased. There seems to be an obvious difference in quality. Hope this continues.

the flannel shirt was perfect fit, right weight and a great color.

This shirt is very warm and cozy and a joy to wear. I have washed it once and it came out of the dryer just like new. No shrinkage or pilling. My only suggestion would be to choose buttons and buttonholes which are slightly larger. As a senior I am finding it more difficult now to get the small buttons into their buttonholes. Other than that the shirt is perfect and just what I always except from LL Bean.

Purchased this as a gift for my 21 yo son. I wasn't used to buying a "medium" for him, but the LL Bean size guidelines were very helpful. The print (Black Watch) is beautiful, and the material is sturdy but VERY soft. He really likes it. Unlike some other on-line competitors, LL Bean quality is assured as is ease of returns if needed. That makes gift-giving very easy even if you do it solely on-line.

I have other flannels from LL Bean that are extra large, and these are a bit big for me. So, I ordered the XL Tall, and it is a perfect fit. I also love the Bean Hunting colors of this particular shirt. The feel of the flannel, like every other LL Bean shirt I have is wonderful. This product is a great value for the price. If you like flannel, this is the one for you.

Comfortable & Warm; Good Fit; Looks good

It was a Christmas gift for my husband and he keeps on saying how good and soft it fits. I'm buying him another.

My husband, who is 6 ft., 5 1/2 inches tall loves this shirt. I ordered it in a "tall" size and it fits him great. He loves the "Blue Watch" plaid and the flannel material keeps him warm here in the house, without having to wear a sweater, too. The sleeves were long enough, also, which always seems to be a problem when he buys other shirts from other stores.
