Shirt feels really soft; but only has one pocket. Bean needs to redesign with two pockets.

Defective hem construction. Pilling was disappointing, but maybe to be expected at $50 pricepoint. I wish LL Bean would have a combed-cotton Scotch Plaid flannel shirt that didn't pill at 1st and 2nd washing.

Bought two shirts and although they are nicely made, both of them are much darker than what is shown as the shirt colors on the website.

This is my new Monday Flannel shirt for every day wear as soon as it gets to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. No complaints. I ish it had a rigfht side breast pocket. I bought an XXXL and it is fine in all respects. Exactly what I love.

Wonderful soft flannel. Fit is good. Only complaint is that it's linger than my former LLBean xxl flannels and looks a little awkward untucked and hanging so low.

I love LL Bean flannel shirts. BUT I get very different sizes each time I buy a large traditional shirt. ??? I have eight of them and they are all different sizes. I guess the moral of the story is try each and every shirt at the store until it fits.

I got this shirt as a gift last year and it fit great. I ordered it now in two more color options and in the exact same size. These two are a lighter flannel (which I do like) and much larger. The chest and waist swallow me, the one I had received as a gift is almost fitted to me. I'm giving a poor rating due to poor quality control and the fact that the body just seems entirely too large.

Love the shirts. Would like to see more traditional Scottish plaids in both this weight and especially in the Wicked Good weight and texture

We have bought many LL Bean mens flannel shirts over the year, and love the quality fabric. I was excited to see the light colored Stewart plaid return. I would have preferred white background, but light gray was tolerable. However, in all respects, size Mens Medium was way too large; sleeve length, chest. This size is consistent for my husband in all brands, so I assume manufacturing specifications were way off. I don't know if ordering another one would have the same result or not. So, disappointed this time.

Fit is quite large, but much experience with LL Bean's flannels in recent years means it will shrink to fit better, even in cold water. You can't beat LLBean's flannels for softness early on, but they begin to pill as soon as you wash them. Then get thinner and thinner with the washings, even in new front loaders that don't have agitators, and dryers with gentle/very low heat settings. I only buy them when they're on sale. I still have LL Bean Scotch plaid flannels that are 12 years old and still look good, nice and neat. The recent ones, including this one, lose their shape the first time and look very sloppy. I only wear them around the house as an over shirt.

I returned my recent purchase because it was a much darker gray than those I have greatly admired for several years on others.

Very good looking flannel shirt. But after washing, the seams have that rumpled look that shows inferior workmanship. I would not recommend this shirt to a friend.

Compared to past shirts from L.L. Bean and other manufacturers, this size-medium shirt ran large, with both the tails and the sleeves being too long for me.

Purchased this item in 2020 as a gift for my husband. This is the second LL Bean Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirt that has developed frayed holes along the elbows. The cloth material just seems to give out after a few years of intermittent wear. It's too bad because my husband really like wearing flannel shirts.

I bought this shirt 6 months ago for my 15 year old son, who is active but not destructive. While the fabric itself seemed of decent quality, the elbows have worn through already. As I was looking at the fabric to patch it, I realized that the flat felt seams on the inside were sewn incorrectly, and are now coming undone and the raw edge is fraying. I would put the work into patching if I believed that the garment overall would hold up, but because of the construction quality I am going to return it.

I received it last Monday. I sent it back on Tuesday (March 5) for the non-fitted version. I haven't heard anything since.

I am somewhat disappointed with the fit. The sleeves are too long.

Ann Marie's Husband, who received the shirt as a gift: I've been buying these shorts for years. I was a little taken aback by the rise in price, 59.95 is a lot of money for a shirt, but the quality and endurance of the shirts always seemed to justify the cost. However, when I opened this shirt, the first thing I noticed was a lighter material. The material reminded me of the " wicked good" flannel, which were very comfortable when new, but didn't seem to hold up as well as the Scotch Plaids. However, it is way too soon to make that judgement, I'll have a better sense in a year or so.

The flannel shirt was soft and the plaid colors paired nicely with jeans or dress pants. My only dissatisfaction was the front placket. It was permanently ironed or fixed in such a way that the entire front placket was folded in half, top to bottom, reaching forward at a 90 degree angle. Even steam ironing could not flatten it for more than a few minutes. Not the best look.

I loved these light weight flannel shirts, but the elbows wore thru before anything else. It took over a year wearing them just in the winters. With the new return policy that is for one year. The price isn't worth the por performance and durability.

Loved the shirt, but found it WAY too big. I take an XL & this shirt fit like an XXL, so I returned it. That said, the quality of the shirt was superb & the plaids are beautiful! Arnie

Excellent, very warm, very comfortable shirt, especially when it's 20 degrees below zero!!

Though amazingly soft, this item was huge. My husband always wears a 2x Tall from LLBean but this item ran large in every aspect.

Very nice colors and well made, but fabric was much lighter than expected. We live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula where it gets very cold, needed heavier material. Returned shirt

Runs vey large. Should not charge to return if its a problem due to your company making the shirt huge.
