So I wear many styles of Dansko shoes and they are all very comfortable at a 39. These, like many others have stated, run bigger..so ordering at least a size down is recommended. I'd probably need a 38. A big issue for me was that the brown leather version had this ombre effect: the toe leather was much darker than the rest of the shoe. In the zappos photos a highlight minimizes this visual impact. It was a real shame as the overall brown color was very nice, warm and rich. I would have totally reordered the smaller size had that not been there.

The shoes look wonderful. The leather is amazing. However the fit isn’t like other dansko shoes I’ve owned (10 plus pair). I wanted to love them but had to return them. In every other Dansko I’m a size 39. The 39 in these were just way too big in the heel. My entire heel would come out with each step. I tried the 38 and it was still too loose in the heel and a 37 would have been way too short. Sadly I had to return these.

I wear a 37 in open-toe Season style, so I thought with a closed toe, and the reviews saying these run small, I should get a 38... I did and they feel ok but my foot really slides forward and these hurt my toes. Too bad because I love the style!

Fit like my other Dansko boots, very comfortable, but you can't wear socks without them showing. I was hoping I could wear ankle socks, but even my "no show" socks could be seen. Very cute boots, but since I usually wear my ankle boots with dresses, I need a pair that doesn't show my socks!

I love Danskos, and I have several pairs that are sharp and stylish -- sandals, boots, Mary Janes -- but these were not what I hoped. They're really plain, and kinda dumpy. I was looking for something more eye-catching and modern. One reviewer said these look Pilgrim-ish. She's not wrong. And my heel was all over the place, almost like a clog foot bed. These are going back.

Size was 1 European size too big. I have 3 pair of Danskos, all size 41. These were a size too large, had to exchange for a 40.

These are lovely booties. Visually they are what I wanted. However, I found this style ran very large. I normally wear a 37 in Dansko. I reordered a size down and even the size 36 was too big; so big I could take the booties off without unzipping them.

I love these booties however they are EXTREMELY loose in the heel, I even tried a smaller size with the same result. I was so excited to try them but sadly they must go back.

I got these for vacation to have something decently comfortable for moderate walking but cute for nicer occasions. They are comfortable and actually a bit more supportive than older Dansko boots I have. However the leather gets scuffed up so easily, like another of pair of Dansko booties I got rid of for the same reason. They say they are scotch guarded against stains, which I guess works, but after a single day of wear at my desk job and they are marked up with scuff/scratch marks all over. I'm keeping them for my vacation, but be prepared to condition these before you wear them and constantly thereafter if you want them to look nice at all. This is not a problem I have with my suede Danskos, only the leather ones. So annoying.

An absolutely beautiful shoe. Felt a bit large. Also bought insoles as the arch support was much less than I have in my Dansko clogs.

These are absolutely gorgeous. They just don't have the high arch support I need, and the toe box is much shallower than the traditional Dansko fit, pressing on my big toe. The toe box is stiffened, so I'm not sure how much these will stretch. I'm sure they'll be wonderful for some people -- just not me.

This is a good looking bootie and one I paid more for than I usually pay for shoes. I have 2 pair of Danskos in my closet the same size which fit perfect. This shoe feels a full size too large. The leather is so soft and comfortable I almost thought about wearing 2 pair of socks or finding an insole to take up room but decided that was foolish so reluctantly returned them.

This shoe is a nice but looks like a factory second. It came scuffed up. I would like to keep the shoe but not at the price.

I just received these mushroom ankle boots and just tried them on. The style, arch support and design are nice except for the quality of the ones I received. I will say these seem to have decent arch support and a nice solid sole that would have decent traction. I’ll include photos- the mushroom boots I just received have definitely been worn- they have several scuff marks and scratches on them, along with the soles showing dirt and hair too. I’m sad because they’re the perfect kind of ankle boot for my feet right now. They didn’t have the plastic on the shoes or the cardboard or plastic inside each boot either. It finally is cold here and boot weather so hate to have to go to ups and send these back and wait for a new pair. ? I live in a rural community so shopping is at least an hour away so I do most of it online.

When I bought my first pair of Dansko's five years ago, my feet thought they died & went to heaven. Since then, I've tried other Dansko styles but they just didn't fit like that first pair and the Raina style is no exception. As another reviewer stated, the opening is too large and I also found that EU 39 (8.5-9) was too loose in the heel. I've tried sizing down in the past without success, so now it's time for me to stop taking advantage of Zappo's good nature and just give up on the Dansko brand.

Not especially crazy about these. I am normally a size 8.5 and they recommended that I take size 39. My wide feet were swimming in them. Also, one of the boots had a strange large marking on one of them...obviously defective. Just not very attractive shoe, in my opinion. Returning them.

They look great and have that classic Dankso comfort, however the opening is far too wide, i didn't need to unzip them to slip my foot in with ease, and every step my heel comes out of the shoe completely. I don't know who would be able to keep their foot in this shoe while walking, but my narrow feet are not a match.

WAY too big! I am a 6 - 6.5, but based on the reviews ordered down to get the 5.5-6 and it felt more like a 7. Had to return, too bad.

Fit was large, especially wide heel area. I liked Dansko for nursing shoes, but even this style is just not fashionable enough—reminds me of my work shoes.

I'm so disappointed with these! The style is absolutely gorgeous and they look great on, however, they sadly must be returned. They just don't have the arch support I've come to expect from Dansko. Having severely pronated feet, my doctor recommended this company and I have over 10 pairs of Dansko clogs, sandals etc in my closet. I was so looking forward to my first pair of booties but these just don't have the arch support I need.

I ordered correct size (length), but the toe box is dreadfully shallow. Tried them on first thing in the morning, and found that my toes felt smashed by the top of the shoe before I got my whole foot in. Sadly, these are going back, and the search for a cute bootie continues.

The longer I own these, the more disappointed I am in these shoes. I have had two other style Dansko boots for years and I can say that these are NOT dansko quality. The support is not great compared to my other Danskos and they have shown so much wear in only a short period of time. They don't feel like they will hold up at all over time and are not comfortable enough to walk around in all day like my other. Very disappointed, wish I would have retuned them when I first got them. Not Dansko quality, don't waste your money.
