I was in-between sizes so I followed the reviews and went with the smaller size. They fit just right. I work in a hospital and stand for most of my 10 hour shifts. I was searching for shoes that would give me some height while being shock absorbent and comfortable...oh yeah and I wanted them to look good with dress pants. These Danskos checked all the boxes! The heel is very sturdy and gives great support on concrete floors. These are high enough to give me some lift but are also comfortable to walk in. The only negative is the shoes scuff very easily.

Booties felt great from the first time putting them. They let me walk and stand pain free all day while making me look great!!

I have "high-volume" (meaning chubby/fleshy) feet that are wide in the toes and relatively narrow in the heel. I also have high arches. It is very difficult for me to find comfortable shoes, but one pair that has worked very well for me is the Dansko Shirley ankle boot, and I bought the Rainas hoping they would be a shorter alternative. Actually, I bought about 8 pairs of Danskos from the classic clogs to the Frankie and Maria styles and ONLY the Raina, Shirley, and Susan (very similar to the Shirley) styles worked. They are all very comfortable, well-made shoes for feet like mine. I had heard the Rainas ran big, and I found they do, but not ridiculously so. I take anywhere from a size 8.5-10 depending on the brand and I am a 40 in these. The 39s were much too small.

Loved this boot! The insole removed easily, and my orthopedics fit easily. These were comfortable all day the first day I wore them. I have sensitive feet and hips, and need very comfortable shoes. I love it when I find cute ones! I highly recommend these.

Love these! I was a little worried about the sizing due to reviews, but as a long time Dansko wearer, I purchased my usual size 37 and they fit perfectly. I was crazed trying to find the perfect black bootie for work and I'm glad Dansko won me over once again!

Love these shoes right out of the box. Very cute and comfortable and look great with dressy pants or jeans or skirts.

Most comfortable basic black “regular-wear office booties” I’ve put on in years! Comfortable from the start with no “breaking in” period. Purchased my typical Dansko size which fit perfect. I wish the heel was a tiny bit higher for a little more sass, but then I suppose they wouldn’t be as comfortable. These are the ones I will turn to because I want to look polished in the winter, but take a break from heels and get as close as I can to feel like I’m wearing slippers. Or will be on my feet a ton that workday. Would definitely recommend! Thank you Dansko, you nailed it again!!!

I love these versatile and am glad i didn't look at the star ratings becuase I try to stick to 40%+ at 5 star.

I first ordered these in my usual size for Dansko's -- 39, but, like many other reviewers I found the shoes too large (especially as I do not intend to wear these shoes with heavy socks, or any socks, actually). I returned them and reordered in a 38 (THANK YOU Zappo's for your easy return policy!), and I love them. They are exactly what I was looking for: comfortable, low boots with enough of a heel to give me height, perfect for dresses or jeans. When I first put the 38s on, I was worried that they might be too small, but with just about ten minutes of walking around in them, they felt perfect. They promise to be every bit as comfortable as my other Dansko's.

These boots are lovely and well made. However, they run large. I have many pairs of Danskos and I ordered the same size as usual, but they were too big.

I had to end up sending these back because it felt that I didn’t have enough room in the toe box for me. Comfortable otherwise. I just have a wider foot and felt it would bother me at the end of the day. Color and look of the boot was great!

These are great!! The leather is smooth and soft- makes for a secure feeling shoe with enough room to wiggle my (very wide) toes. The heal height is just right- a little height to dress up casual work clothes or jeans but not too tall to feel unsteady. The heel and sole are rubber- great traction and comfort and soft footsteps. Very happy overall!

Amazingly comfortable. I wish they were a little taller but keeping and loving how great they feel. This is a more expensive shoe than I would normally purchase but so worth it for the comfort and quality.

Great comfort that I expect from Dansko. Boot dressier option alternative to my collection of "professional" clogs. Can be dressed up or down (dresses or jeans).

Can walk in these for hours without any discomfort.

I normally wear a 37 in Dansko but needed a 36 in this boot. Very comfortable and roomy fit. Purchased both colors and anticipate getting a great deal of wear out of them.

Based on prior reviews, i ordered a size lower than usual, and still slightly big. i debated returning them, but felt next size down would not be comfortable. Instead I slipped on a second pair of socks and they fit perfectly. First wearing was great!

I love these booties! Dansko always comes through for me and this shoe was no different! The only thing I experienced that was different was the sizing of this Dansko shoe. I read the reviews and decided to follow the majority advice as I also found the shoe runs large. I always wear a 39 in Dansko shoes and I ordered a 38. They fit perfectly! Im glad I listened to the reviews. In the Raina, I purchased a black pair and a chestnut pair. I wear them every day to work with slim ankle pants and I also wear them with jeans on the weekends. They are versatile and I couldn't be happier. They will be my winter "go-to" shoes. One review I read before purchasing noted that they buy felt guilty for wearing calf leather. I have to say I feel the same. I searched for shoes like this so I wouldn't have to buy calfskin but in the end, because of my feet and my needs, I wound up with these. Would love to see Dansko not using calfskin.
