The belt has a nice thickness to it. Lesser belts can be thin and flimsy . The leather has a flat finish which is a perfect match for the boots I also purchased. I did go a size up that allowed for the perfect fit without leaving a mark on the belt based on the hole used.The width is ideal for jeans. It is not as thin as a dress belt and wide enough to match well with jeans . Buckle has a silver, distressed flat finish that is ideal for a subtle sophistication .

Great feel, can wear with jeans or slacks.

The belt is a very dark brown. I thought it might be black at first but its not. Its a beautiful dark brown.
