the design creates notable pressure on the top of the foot, beneath the laces, due to the choice of fabric and complete wrap of the foot (vs. only laces for tightening)

Didn't even try it on. The gray specks look ugly.

These shoes were extremely stiff and wouldn't brake in...

Not a good shoe all and all

Avoid these! I wish I had stuck to my initial reaction of them being too small and returned them for a different pair. I did go up a size! I assumed I’d break them in and they’d fit properly. They cut my circulation and my feet are constantly going numb. A very expensive mistake!

I ordered the sheet rock piedmont gray color and the tongue was totally weird!! Nothing about this in the descriptions. It was built in. Super tight and uncomfortable across the top. I would have expected all the shoes with the same name to be the same. Big disappointment.

I own 4 pair of size 8.5 ASICS and love them. But I could not get my foot into this size 8.5 shoe. Using a shoehorn I got it on then could not tie it. Maybe this size was mislabeled at factory.

This was not the standard Cumulus 23. It was some knit version with a flat tongue and upper - it had a totally different feel inside. The Cumulus has been my athlete's go-to shoe for a year now, averaging 30 miles/week. Although it said Cumulus 23 on the outside, this one didn't fit the same and caused them to stop running with angry feet and pins and needles within half a mile. We returned these and went to a local running store to get the normal model and there have been no issues.

Hated style not as expected

They just ruined a good thing, as many others have said. There isn't much cushion in the sole. I have two previous versions of the gel cumulus. The toe box on these is wider in the forefoot and also deeper, which is why I can't wear them. Maybe if you have a wide foot they would work. Returning. I can no longer find athletic shoes that fit in any brand.

I was so disappointed that they were small because every shoe I have purchased in stores of this brand an 11.5 fits well and a 12 is recommended so I went to a 12 and it was too small so it makes me question as to « are they authentic Asics or some fake crap sold at the high price to deceive customers. Now I don’t feel so confident in buying online. This was my first shoe buying experience online and now I have to return them and wait for my refund before going to a real store!
