ASICS GEL-Venture 8 felt just slightly short of being true to size 9M when wearing mid-weight low-cut socks. They also had a much firmer heel strike than I wanted and not enough rocker at the heel. Overall look of the shoes is nice - slim silhouette, good charcoal color and bright medium orange accents. Returned for a more expensive New Balance Fresh Foam Hierro V6 - weird looking but I'm replacing the Hierro V5.

I like the shoe but this style runs small. I knew as soon as I opened the box the toe area looked narrow. My toes hit and they are tight even though they are wide size. I’ve always worn the same size 6 1/2 wide in ASIC and this is the first pair that didn’t fit right.

What has happened to Asics??? I ordered the SAME size as the Asics that I am wearing now. These were too narrow to even get my foot in comfortably. No arch support. Thinner materials in this shoe. Very disappointed. I have been wearing Asics since 1998. I returned these for another pair after sizing up 1/2 size.....they arrived yesterday and they are TOO SMALL also!!! My wife commented she could tell how cheap they sounded when I rubbed my hand across one of them. She said, "They even SOUND thinner and cheaper!" The 2nd pair is being returned today for another 1/2 size up!!!! Asics is going downhill in quality and sizing.

Theses shoes did not fit right for their size. I have been ordering
asics for many years at a size 9. these were so tight. I feel they were wrongly sized.

Love these shoes! They are actually the second pair I bought and am thinking I should buy another pair for when these wear out. They are a true fit to the size and there is no break in period necessary. They are my primary shoes, for everyday wear including walking a few miles a day for exercise.

This is my second pair of Gel Venture 8 walkers. I have had Gel Venture 6 and 7 each having them at least for two years with daily wear. I also ordered Gel Venture 9 but I thought they were too bulky and heavy which would be good for trail hiking - my use is daily wear. I ordered a size smaller and had to replace with a half size larger - 8.5. Very happy with my new Gel Venture 8.

This is the third pair of Asics Gel-Venture 8 I've purchased. I love the shoes! I walk about 4 miles a day and these shoes are comfortable and have excellent support.
