Snug heel, wide size perfect for my wide feet, right amount of sturdy for day hikes and being in the dirt, not too heavy, I have low and high rise. Thank you for real, shoe shopping can be a drag.

This is my second pair. The first pair I bought about 4 years ago and Im still wearing them, but theyre looking a little ragged. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel, which is hard to fit comfortably. These boots fit like a glove and are so comfortable!

Great shoes with stiff footbed for someone with arthritis. Excellent grip in the snow.

I needed solid sole and good medium arch support for tendon issue and he was right. Comfy from first time put on. Very pleased!

On my third pair of Sypes. They are supportive and comfortable. Rugged but not clunky. Just really love these. I wish they came in black.

Love the fit of these boots in wide. Wish they came in wide in blue as well. Ive never had a more perfect fit. Please offer more in wide for women.

This is my second purchase for oboz day hiking boots and they never disappoint. The first two wears, they feel heard and stiff but afterwards, just my favorite shoe for day trails. Theyre so supportive and have great traction. Only brand I wear for my hikes.

I recently switched to another brand of shoes for my daily wear. My lower back hurt all the time. When i figured out it could be my shoes, I switched back to Oboz. Within three days, my back was back to normal. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I cleared 6" of snow off my car and my feet stayed dry and toasty warm! And they're so light they feel like flipflops! My friend who recommended them tells me theirs are on Year 5, so I look forward to having these for a long time.

You have to give props to Oboz for being one of the few companies that makes wide widths for women. I needed a waterproof shoe that was easier to get in than my heavy winter hiking boots (also Oboz). I really wanted a slip on but after searching saw these on clearance and decided to try. I measure as a 9. 5D. I usually buy 10 in women's or 8. 5 men's but have been sizing up in men's shoes to 9 lately so decided to try these in 10. 5 wide. The 10 would have fit fine but I'm happy about the extra space because these Oboz insoles, while supportive, offer no cushioning. So I took them out and put squishier ones in. Plenty of room for doing that and wearing thick socks. Not insulated so I'm not putting them to the test since it's winter and snowing but on wet or muddy dog walks they are great and the traction in slippery stuff seems to be fine. I am able to slip them on since they didn't come up quite as high , the upper is flexible and I have some extra room. This boot isn't as beefy as some of their others so if you need a lot of support I'd skip it but I like that it's light since I usually hike in trail runners and looking forward to getting more use in the spring when the snow melts. I am happy these were on clearance and I will say I would not have paid full price for them.

From the moment I put my 60+ yr old feet in the Oboz Womens Sypes Mid Leather Waterproof boots I found what Ive been looking for - comfort! I wear them on my daily walks around my neighborhood dirt roads as well as hikes. They are my go to footwear autumn through to spring. With Sypes on my feet the muddy, wet, hilly conditions dont matter as my feet are completely comfortable and dry. Thank you for a terrific boot!

The exact hiking shoe I needed.

Boots are pretty comfortable and keep my feet dry. I especially like the nice arch support. Two complaints prevent 5-star rating: 1) Boots don't stay tied! Even when pulled snug and tied tightly, the laces slip out of the top hooks and then the rest of the lace loosens. I have to stop and re-tie pretty often. This would be prevented by using a full closed eye for the top as well as the lower lace rungs. 2) Even though I ordered a wide size, they aren't quite wide enough for my wide feet.

I ordered a wide and they were still too narrow. I don't have excessively large feet, I'm not sure why it's so hard to find a wide width. I love the O Fit insole, I have them in my trail runners. These were also slightly firm and stiff at the upper ankle. They seemed to be quality construction but the fit made me return fast.

Theyre great ! Prior, Ive been wearing Sypes low trail runners exclusively.

This is a great pair of hiking shoes. Relatively light, pretty enough for city streets, and waterproof. I don't wear wide in shoes but bunion in one foot some times makes it tricky so I ordered wide. The problem with wide sizing for all brand is that they are not wide at the widest part of a foot (where bunion happens) but wide at the toe box. Oboz wide fit like regular in other brands and as someone mentioned, height around front foot and toe box is low. They may get loosened up over time but these felt unusually tight given the wide sizing. The insole was well made but I am trying different brand insoles that give more cushion around forefoot area. These are hard and stiff insoles and I am used to Birkies so hardness itself it not a problem. But these insoles didn't work for me because they also pushed my bunion and toe area high and with overall fit very tight, I am worried I wouldn't be able to walk much before my bunion will become become painful. I thought of going up half a size but then the length would be too long. Obviously hiking shoes need to fit tight so I am keeping these because I haven't found a light hiking shoes I can walk in without pain yet. I hope these would do the trick with a different insole that gives more at the forefoot area.

I have enjoyed these shoes. They fit like a glove from the first try on. I dont do long hikes anymore, but these certainly fit the bill for what I still do.

After several years of wearing worn out hiking boots (that likely didn't fit me well in the first place) I did my due diligence searching for an upgrade. These hikers came out as top choice. I broke them in hiking 40 km + in Pukaskwa NP, 40 km + on the Casque Isles Trail, and 60+ km in Waterton Lakes NP. Remarkably, no blisters or pain were had (aside from the usual soreness of being on your feet for that distance). I have narrow feet (and so other brands like Keen typically don't fit as snug in the midfoot) and found that these fit quite well, though normally I'm a 9. 5 but a 10 felt much more comfortable. Of course since they're leather they are not as light but they don't feel heavy when walking. The waterproofing has also demonstrated to be highly effective. I also appreciate the extra layer of leather around the toe as I tend to scuff the front of my boots on rocks quite easily but they've held up wonderfully so far. Would highly recommend this hiker!

Love my boots! Fit snd support perfect! Very comfy for moderate terrain. My only issue is the laces are slippery, and come untied at the worst times. Ive tried double knots, but they fall apart to. The laces are tubular shape, im sure adding to this issue. Can customer suppport send me new safer laces? Thh j at would be wonderful.

Super comfy and great support as always. Love my Oboz and I will not buy anything else. Im on my feet all day, in all types of weather, and oboz never let me down.

I purchased these for a trip to Scotland. I needed waterproof, comfortable, and not too hiking bootish in style - for country and urban exploring. They required no breaking in. I wore them at home in a heavy rainstorm, stomping through puddles like a little kid. Totally waterproof. I have cranky ankles and wanted the assurance of a higher boot. I wore them most days on my adventure - very good purchase.

These boots were comfortable from the moment I put them on.
