These shoes get full marks for intent, failing grade for execution. Great traction, true to size, great under foot support. Where these shoes fail, is in use of materials and method of attaching the tongue section to the rest of the shoe. Test drove these on a hilly six mile hike. The area in question abraded the top of my foot, at the base of my big toe the point that a blister developed at mile 3, not fun. I sent them back immediately.

I trail run 100 KM (62 miles) a week on average and climb (while running) an average of 4000m (13,123 feet) a week. This shoe is sadly a complete waste of money for trail running. It's as if they designed it to not fit people that fit in their best reviewed trail shoe, the original Ultraventure. It is sloppy and I'll fitting in the mid-foot and heel; this is pretty much in line with what reviewers are saying about the shoe. The 'Believe in the Run' quote was selectively chosen. I love Topo, but this shoe not worth the money, even if it were half the price it would still be flawed. If I wanted an Altra fit, I'd buy Altra, cheaper, less blowouts, and more widely available. In just the last year I have bought 11 pairs of Topo shoes, I go through two pairs every 2.5 months on average. The Phantom, Ultraventure, Ultrafly 3, and MTN Racer (objectively shorter than others), all in size 12, fit nearly identical in the mid foot and heel; the Runventure 3 (objectively longer than others in the same size 12) fits snug in the heel in-line with the others although it fits a but sloppy in the mid foot (another case of why not just buy Altra since this is not the 'Topo Fit'), however, it still is a far superior fit than the Ultraventure Pro. It may be that this shoe is good for through hiking, but it should not be marketed as a trail running shoe. Some people may like it, maybe those that like shoes that strike firm with little to no ground feel. However, I find it difficult to believe that anyone that fits perfectly into the Ultrafly 3, Phantom, Ultraventure, MTN Racer, and Runventure 3 could possibly find this shoe to fit well. This is a step backwards in so many ways from the original Ultraventure, to which Topo might argue is because it isn't an Ultraventure, to which I would ask, why call it an Ultraventure 'Pro' when nothing about it is very similar to the original, and even less about it is 'pro'. If this shoe sells as many pairs as the original Ultraventure, I can only guess it to be the result of some magical marketing. Just don't buy.

Simply hiking established trails. Bought these 6-20-23 and do not wear them everyday. Sole is coming apart from the upper.

I have bought and returned 3 pairs of these shoes in a row because the tread is delaminating and coming off the sole after 1 hike all three times. I will not be getting another pair and do not recommend them. The quality of construction is very poor.

I got a pair in Damascus, VA when hiking the AT. They were recommended and I decided to try something new as my old boots were worn out. It was a mistake. They didn't help with my foot pain, my feet slipped in the shoe and turned my ankle several times so often I'm surprised it didn't break by the end. Worse, I had used them for less than a week when the sole began to detach from the shoe. New shoes shouldn't be falling apart like this. They are most certainly not worth the price.

The toe box for Topo has been made smaller. I once loved these shoes but the construction is different. This is the third style I've returned searching for one that will foot.

This is third or fourth pair of TOPO's I've bought. The fit and feel is the absolute best, like all the others. Unfortunately, this pair is already starting to fall apart. Picture attached. It appears the glue that keeps the sole attached to the upper part of shoe is failing.

We purchased the shoes less than a month ago and they are already falling apart. Very dissatisfied with this purchase. This is the second pair we have purchased. First ones lasted over a year

I loved these at first. They are super comfortable shoes. I love the wide toe box and great cushioning. However, after about two months of wear the heels have pretty much fallen apart. I wrote to the company and there is nothing they will do after the 30 days warranty has expired. It makes me feel super frustrated when I splurged on $150 dollar shoes and they fell apart almost immediately. The company claims that they are for thru hikes??? Hahaha. You can't even cross the state with these shoes. They are going in the garbage.

Had high hopes for this show, particularly because I like the extra toe room. While that aspect was ok, the shoe was too loose on my heel.

These shoes lasted no more than 5 weeks before totally delaminating at the sides. I would not have done more than 5 km in these over 5 weeks. Just not acceptable for such an expensive pair of trail shoes. I have had a pair of Mountain Racers which are still going after 500 km but these runventures are just total rubbish I am afraid.

I am a loyal Topo fan, Having gone through at least 10 pairs of their shoes in the last couple years as a high mileage runner. Based upon reviews I had high expectations for the new Cyclone. The good: A relatively light weight hi Christian Shoe with great energy return, feels very snappy, and *could* probably be a great long run shoe if it weren't for the bad: a god-awful, rigid, blister-inducing heel!! My feet are not usually Becky, but I could not tolerate more than 2 to 3 miles in the these. Quite frankly the poor design is evident the minute you put them on, but I really really wanted to like these. My second and last run I have 8 miles left me in significant pain halfway through, angry and gritting my teeth to get home and throw these back in the mail. Topo, you have an otherwise great shoe here if you can fix the awful heel design. Please, do it!!!
