This is a great long run and tempo shoe! Comfortable for all surfaces and all weather; light without being too flimsy and aggressive without feeling uncomfortable at any pace. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a shoe to do mid pace or up-tempo miles, but really versatile across the board! I've taken to wearing mine about twice a week for long runs and longer tempos/progression runs. It's great because I can warm up in them at easy pace but what they're really great for is when I really get rolling more in the threshold/tempo/marathon pace range they feel like they're in a sweet spot for that kind of effort. If you're looking to get bang for your buck on a secondary trainer, this is a great shoe because even though it's great for mid-pace work, you could also definitely use it as a true flat or as an easy run shoe in a pinch.

I bought these in October 2020 for day hikes and overnights on medium to rough trails, under loads from minimalist to 30 lbs. Longest day hike 12 miles. 75-ish total trail miles so far. I am very satisfied with the fit, stability, and traction. I have wide feet with narrow heels. They fit so well I added daily wear, now nearing 100 miles in town. The soles are wearing well, but the heel collars have worn through to the foam. Disappointing for 8 months. Expecting at least 18 mo. Qualified "buy".

With my latest pair of Topo, the Cyclone, I've been putting in the road miles with my dogs. This is my first pair of Topo's road shoe and am loving them as much as the many Topo trail running shoes I've worn through. The toe box gives my toes plenty of room to claw away at those miles and helps in my effort to experience unshod feet without running without heal-raise or barefooted.

Just a great no-nonsense shoe that feels right. The cushion is significant enough without adding much weight or sacrificing responsiveness. Really comfy toungue and lace fit, nice cradleon the heel and generous toe box I need. No updates needed!

Took these as my only shoes for a month in Wyoming. Ran 4 miles a day, walked 2 miles a day, hiked a few times, swam and paddleboarded -- perfect shoes for summer living.

I found TOPO a few years ago . I kept have foot issues and the larger toe box was the best thing that ever happened to me. Haven't had a foot problem since. Love them, I'm only running about 25 miles week.

TL/DR 1. Shoes are a good blend between responsive and cushioned. 2. The upper is thin and the he does not have any structure or heel cup. Felt great and did not cause any issues. 3. Great do it all shoe. -------- I currently run in the Fli-Lyte 4 in a men's US 11. Based On reviews here and other websites, I ordered two pairs: a 10.5 and 11. 10.5 was fine but 11 felt better. The heel grab felt the same in both so I went with the 11 to maximize toe box room. Numerous reviews mention that the unstructured heel and lack of heel counter caused blistering and rubbing. I didn't have that experience at all. My first run was 2 hours along the Chicago lakeshore and the shoes felt great. The extra cushion and bounce of the Cyclones were appreciated and made the run fun. For what it is worth, my foot is a bit flatter and lower volume and I found the cyclone fit my foot-my midfoot especially-better than the fli-lyte. The fli lyte accommodates more foot shapes and instep heights due to its greater internal volume. Basically, I tighten the laces tighter on the fli lures where with the cyclones, I just slightly snug them and off I go. These shoes are awesome! Don't let the negative reviews scare you away.

This is a great fitting shoe that was recommended to me by someone who has over 2000 miles in topo shoes. His recommendation was perfectly spot on and I can't believe it took me this long to find a shoe that is truly comfortable and fits my foot perfectly. Seth King recommended these to me.

If you are looking for a light, cushioned and responsive running shoe, look no further - Cyclone is what you need. This is my second pair; I got close to 700 miles from my first one, which is amazing for a running shoe. I run 35 to 40 miles a week, so durability is very important for me. The zip foam is very nice under your feet - you get good cushioning and yet the shoe itself is very responsive. Just yesterday I ran a 25k on them, and I'm looking forward to running my next marathon on them. I don't buy on all the carbon plate hype - if this is what you want, look somewhere else. The upper is very thin with breathable material, which is also a must for someone who lives in Texas. Also very important for me, the toebox is wide, with plenty of space for your toes to splay while you run. I've seen a couple of complains about people who can't get a proper lock on the shoe - if you have narrow heels, I can see how this could be a problem. For me, they stay in place just fine.

Pros: - snug heel with no slippage - lightweight (2nd lightest in TOPO line-up) - comfy upper, good length although wouldn't want it any shorter - durable, 100+ miles so far without any signs of wear or breakdown Cons: - the only area for improvement I can appreciate is that the shock absorption seems to diminish during longer runs. Could this be zipfoam related?

love the light-weight razor thin sides. VERY strong material, well made, and super comfortable. Got compliments when out with wife, and the couple had never seen them. I'll be back for my next pair soon.

I decided to give Topo a try after the other 0-drop shoe brand redesigned my favorite shoe and made it unwearable. I wish I hadn't waited so long. I cant remember ever having such a comfortable 1st run in new shoes. The toe box is roomy and the cushions is not too much or too little. I love them. My only complaint is why cant Topo give the shoe a full rubber sole like all the mainstream brands my wife uses. I can already see the mid-sole foam being worn.

I was a big fan of terraventure 2. But the terraventure 3 is amazing. As a disabled hiker I have had multiple brain surgeries, multiple spine fusions and refusions, to many knee operations. Topo has changed my life. I am doing more that I have in years from road walking to hiking. My feet feel good these really help my knees, back and whole spine. I always tell people if Altra and hoka one one had a baby topo is it. Great upgrade. Thanks as always topo.

Used this shoe for the first lap of an ultra (about 30 ish miles). Loved how responsive and comfortable it was! The fit is definitely true to size. I took these out on trails that were full of roots and rocks with 11k feet of elevation. Had zero issues with traction or fatigue. My only complaints were possible lateral stability and feeling some of the rocks. A rock plate may help here, but then that would add weight. Great job!

I have been running in the Ultraventure Pro for all of my trail runs and now that I have the MTN Racer 2, I reserve the UV Pro for my longest trail runs. The MTN Racer 2 is perfect for everything else. Its more nimble and runs well on buffed out trails but is rugged enough for the more technical stuff. I sized down to a 9 but could probably have stuck with a 9.5, even though the 9.5 in the UV Pro is a tad long. This shoes checks all the boxes: wide toe box, moderate drop, rugged and light.

Really nice shoe, didn't care for v1 as that shoe was too firm, ran short lengthwise, and didn't care for the warm upper material. Those issues have been addressed in this shoe. The cushioning is really nice, however at times I did feel some rocks with the loss of rock plate in this model. The tongue may be a bit thin for some. Periodically noticed some small debris entering the shoe right underneath the ankle area. Really nice update, upper is sooo much nicer than the original. Highly recommend.

So an obvious draw to Topos is the toe box. Often over looked or not mentioned is they are extremely breathable. I am use to wearing Hokas so the Topos don't feel quite as cushy. Subsequently, they feel much much more nimble, especially with the vibram outsole. These are my go to shoes for short to mid mileage hikes or anything technical. I will be a returning customer.
