I needed a pair of boots for the marshy terrain where I live. The women’s version of this boot just wasn’t quite right so I ordered a 7 in men’s and they’re great. I have bigger calves (17 in) and these fit over my calves with a pair of jeans just fine. The shoe is pretty comfy and the traction is good. Just what I was after.

I got this Original Muck Boot Company Artic Pro Camo boot for my younger son; size 9. He really likes them and they seem much better made than the Kamik boots that they replaced. But O.M.B.C. boots are very pricy. They are well made and I'm sure they will last a couple of years before he needs the next larger size. He is happy with these boots, they keep his feet dry, and easy to put-on and take-off, and don't get too stuck in mud (we have thick clay mud out in the field, so he had to learn how to un-extend his foot so that it didn't pop out of the boot when he gets stuck). He likes the boot and I wouldn't hesitate to get the same boot when he needs a larger size. There is a calf buckle in the back but we haven't used it. He likes to quickly slip-on and slip-off.

First time to use I was wading in flooded rice field and the boots began leaking at the expansion area on the rear of the boot.

Im an upland hunting guide. I wear these boots 2-4 times a week most of the winter in Missouri. My last pair went 6 years, however they were not the wide calf.
These seem to be as durable as the last pair. I wear them from 20 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. They could probably be comfortable at lower temperatures but I switch to other boots at or below 20 degrees. These are much easier to get on and off yet they fit well and are not too loose. The only negative thing is the strap retention clips are easily broken or lost. I replaced one already with a zip tie.
Ive had other brands however Muck provides a mid level quality and price range. For me it works out to about $25.00 per year.

Boots leak on back where the adjustable V starts. Both boots allowed water to come in through the V on the back of calf. Might as well have ankle height boots.

I bought a pair of these last december in anticipation of my second season at a glacial river in Alaska, starting this May. The first day out on the river, when I was loading guests into the boat, the second the water level got to the gussets, water started pouring into each boot. I would not recommend these boots to anyone working in cold water!

I have went through 3 pairs of Wetlands in less than 4 years and the same thing happened to every pair - the sole and body separated. I wear them for a several hours every week to take samples from streams. Will not own another pair of muck boots, I am currently looking for another brand.
