I want boots that I can slip on easily and go out to shovel the driveway or work in the yard. It gets cold here in Boston so I want my feet to be warm and dry. My main requests were warmth, fit and comfort over fashion. I bought the mens boot in my size because one of the reviews said it came with an additional insert (it does) and I figured it'd be more comfortable (it is)! I really like these boots. You can just slip your foot in, no struggling, tugging or pulling. The little tab on the back actually fits a finger so that can help get them on if you need an extra hand. I didn't need it though and easily slipped them on. They feel very comfortable but full disclosure, I haven't worn them outside of the house yet as they just came today. I'm hopeful they'll work out because they feel very comfy and toasty.

Just do not hold up well!

This review is for women. I'm a female who wears size 8, medium width in US sizing and size 39, medium width in European sizing. The Original Muck Boot Company only makes this Arctic Excursion Ankle boot, which has a fleece lining, for men. This fleece lining is what makes these particular ankle boots warm using a thick sock in very cold weather ( they are rated for -40 to 40 degrees F.) None of the Muck ankle boots for women have a fleece lining. I got lucky. The smallest men's size was US size 7, medium width which is size 39/40, medium width in European sizing. So, I bought 2 pairs and they fit me perfectly with a thick sock.

1 week into these shoes and I find them to be perfect. Great everyday, outdoor shoe to wear in the cold Montana winter without sacrificing style. Definitely recommend them.

Boots are comfortable

I wish the would make wider boots generally you wear heavy socks in these Ok
