I've been running in Asics GEL's for years. Always a 10.5 US. These definitely run ½ size small. Moved into an 11 (Thank you Zappos) and the fit was perfect. I decided to try the new GEL-DS Trainer 24 for it's advertised light weight and cool-mesh design. First impressions are mixed: Very comfortable out of the box. Great looking, too. However, when compared to the Kayano's, cushioning is noticeably absent and heal impact is considerably firmer. I haven't run in these yet but I anticipate that they are likely suited more for gym, exercise, and kicking around than they are for running. I'll take them for a run and update my post should they prove me wrong.

the shoe is ok, a bit hard at first. the bottom part pealed off about 2 months after about 100 miles in them.

Okay stability in the heal. Not a lot of cushion in the front. Toe box feel loose without stabilizing the front end. Not a bad shoe but not their normal quality.

These shoes are nice but just don’t fit me well. I usually run in Nike’s. Free Runner 2018 fit like a glove. In that shoe I am your boring standard 10 1/2 D. As we all know Nike’s run a half size small...usually. These ASICS are nice shoes but don’t fit me. The 10s are slightly tight. The 10 1/2s are too big. I think this is attributable to a slightly generous width. YRMV.

My main problem with this shoe was that it looked like I was wearing upholstery fabric on my feet. Not the look I was going for. Otherwise, nice shoe!

The DS Trainer is my "go to" show for the majority of my training runs. Unfortunately the 24 model has a knit upper that I find holds a lot of water when it rains or if you are a heavy sweater (like me). The knit upper also tends to have a much stronger odor compared to earlier versions. The shoe is comfortable to wear. Although I don't like the knit upper, it didn't stop me from ordering a second pair. I just have to take some extra steps to keep them dry after a lot of my runs.

Who needs a toe box? Lots of blisters, and adjustments needed (cuts were requires around the toes).

Material too thin on top of toes. Big toe has broken through on top already. I duct taped inside of shoe above toes and it is much better. But, I wasted my $$ on this shoe.

As someone who'd run in the DS Trainers for 14 different editions, this is one of the worst. ASICS seem to have turned this into a racing flat with no arch, and drastically changing the middle of the sole from the 23. Every few years, ASICS tosses a dud in this line. This is one of them. Skip.

1/2 size smaller than the other Asics that I have purchased. Trying to return but can't get a response from Asics.

The tred started to peel off the top of this shoe in the first 2 months of light use. I thought it might have just been a defect in my specific shoe so I ordered another one and the same problem happened again within the first 2 months. *Would not recommend.

I was in the market for new running shoes after Brooks discontinued the Pure Cadence line and the local running store recommended these as an option. It's been a few months and I can't say I love these. The shoe itself is comfortable but something about the support in this shoe is giving me Achilles problems that I have never experienced with other brands running shoes.

Bought these shoes for overpronation but ended up getting shin splints and severe pain on my feet after switching to these shoes.

Does not correct over-pronation enough, my ankle still rolled inward more than I like for a shoe that I bought to correct that issue. Looks and feels great, but definitely not show for overpronation as it is advertised. Wish these were more like to Gel Kayano 25, which do an excellent job of stabilizing.

After doing speed training/long runs on the Gel Trainer 22s and 23s, was very disappointed to learn that the Gel Trainer 24s no longer has stability features. The upper is a major improvement, but this is no longer a stability shoe.
