Comfortable straight from the box, expensive but worth the dollars.

These shoes are comfortable for running, walking, gym workouts or just everyday wear.

Great shoe for running because it fits so perfectly. This is the third New Balance 990 I've purchased, so I definitely recommend it. Being made in the USA is nice as well!

I walk several miles a day and so far I have had no problems. They feel great and seem well-constructed.

It is my main shoe. Wear all the time. My wife is buying me a second pair.

I bought these shoes primarily for outdoor running on pavement/sidewalks and for treadmills at the gym. Long time NB customer but this is the first time I've bought this series and I love them so far. They're comfortable and sturdy. They're slightly heavier than running shoes I've had in the past, but they seem to provide great support. Happy with my purchase thus far!

A year ago, our daily 4-5 mile walks changed from relatively flat to very steep, asphalt terrain. Our feet needed better support and longer wearing soles. These are expensive, so we expected high quality; have been pleased with how well the soles are holding up. As many report, no break in time required; lace and go.

I've always bought asics kayano for running and walking but I wanted to find a high end shoe made in the USA. My new Made in US 990v5 blow the asics away.

Dealing with chronic lumbar pain I am always looking out for high quality walking shoes. I really liked the New Balance 990v4 and Asics Gel Nimbus 20 for long walks. Ordering the 990v5 I expected a similar feel to the v4, I was mistaken. The 990v5 is by far the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever owned!

I have a narrow foot and have always liked New Balance. When I purchased another running shoe, they may have looked good, but they didn't feel good. These New Balance running shoes look great, feel great, and are made in the good old USA--I love that too!

I am an avid walker and prefer these shoes over other models and brands for their quality and comfort.

I have been wearing the New Balance 990v5 for many years. They give me very good support for my less than perfect feet. I am able to walk 2 miles a day and that's pretty good for being 76 years young. I have 3 pairs and wear my red, white and blue pair when I volunteer at the San Francisco International Airport USO, Support our troops! The best part is these shoes are made in the USA. Keep up the good work.

Every time I have purchased New Balance products, I am never disappointed in the craftsmanship and quantity materials that make New Balance one the best footwear companies in the world. My 990's are everything I expected them to be and more.

I use this product on my feet. Joking aside, this is an excellent shoe, well made, provides excellent support and fits like a glove. Glad to have bought this model. I don't mind paying the price because the quality is good. One can see the quality finish on this shoe.
