I was looking for a sandal/shoe - something with a covered heel but open toe so that I could slip my arch supports in them. These fit the bill and were quite comfortable out of the box. However, I have only worn them around the house so far so I could see if I liked the fit. They are a little "gladiator" looking but not extreme and look pretty cute on my foot. I wear a size US size 5/Medium and the EU 35 was perfect. I like the tie feature so that I can adjust as needed and as the heat of the day causes foot swelling.

These fit great and true to size and width. They are so comfortable. I wore them on long walks on my vacation and had no issues with my feet or lower back. I like the style although I can understand someone thinking they don't suit their feet, but for me they look nice. I've gotten compliments on them. The ties don't bother me. I pull them up as far as they will go so the tassels are on the top of the shoe and tie them again. Looks cute!

Loved the shoe, thought it was very pretty. BUT... the laces wouldn't stay tied. Tried every way I could think of to keep them tied and nothing worked. I am returning.

I normally wear a 7.5 to 8. The 8/8.5 fit perfectly and the width was good. My issue was the enclosed heel bothered my somewhat sensitive heels. Normally I wear backless shoes and these irritated. I returned for that reason. Good looking comfortable shoe except for that. Appreciate Zappos quick and painlessly service.

I have broken my foot, had foot surgery on both feet, and have joint deformities from rheumatoid arthritis in both feet. Finding a comfortable shoe with all of these issues is a huge challenge. Someone recommended Alegria shoes, so I thought I would give them a try. These sandals fit like a glove as soon as I put them on. I wore them most of the day the first day, and they were still comfortable. No blisters, no sore spots, not achy feet! My two issues with these sandals in particular involve the laces. You tie them in a bow, and they tend to want to come undone. After a few tries, I finally got them tied tight enough that they stayed that way. I ordered these before we knew were were getting a new puppy. Had I known ahead of time, I probably wouldn't have purchased this particular pair. The new pup thinks the tassels are her personal chew toys. I can hardly fault the shoes for that one. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase. I will not hesitate to try another pair of Alegrias in the future.

These were a little longer and wider than expected. I did not like the style, since when laced up, it squished my skin between the laces. Not at all comfortable.

So comfortable from the get go, but not a very good looking sandal as it's just too much gladiator (hard to explain). The shoe laces are way too long and the tassels at the end of the shoe strings flopped around as I walked in them in the house. I had to double knot them because of the long length, which made the sandals look all bunched up where it ties, to say the least. But such great arch support! I wish these would have worked, but they're going back.

These are so comfortable, lots of compliments. Great with most outfits.

Fit perfectly. A little stiff when I first wore them but getting more pliable each time I wear them. Keep my feet in alignment. Support my fallen arches and arthritic feet. Plus they are cute!

Perfect for my arthritic feet!

I have a high arch, arthritis & Nueropothy in my feet. This product was a God send! So comfy!!! Laces up so if I’m bandaged up they will still fit. The heel pad is soft & comfy. The soft leather lining is a best friend to Nueropothy feet. Any man made material sets my feet of fire. I bought cotton socks & will be wearing these all winter!!!!!

Love gladiator sandals and these are cute and supportive. Like the suede lining. Be aware - the ties are long. good thing as they tend to come untied and need to be "doubled" to stay put. All in all, these are very comfortable. I am happy!

Unlike other reviews, the laces were perfect on my medium width feet. The shoe just had too much going on for me, style wise. (personal opinion)

ugliest greatest shoe ever. I'm just worried the shoelaces are going to break. The company doesn't have ones you can buy, so I took off a star.

Didn't work with my narrow feet. Wasn't able to tighten the laces enough to stop my foot from moving forward to the tip of the sandals. Cute, but sent back.

The size and fit were great; however, the leather sides near ankle were too high for my ankle bone. I really liked the look, unfortunately, I am returning them because of the ankle-bone issue.

This show would have been perfect had it not been for the laces which are long and do not stay tied.

Love the look and fit of these but exchanging for "Luggage" material in this style. These are great support and I like being able to tie them so they completely encompass my feet.

Very comfortable on my arthritic feet. Red but not bright red. I also have them in navy.

These shores were my greatest find to get me through almost a year of surgeries! Comfy from first minute! Room enough for bandages, just widen the laces! I’m in love & would highly recommend!!!

So comfortable. I have a high instep and need a roomy toe box. Given that you have to lace them up manually, you can pretty much accommodate the shape of your foot when you put them on. They're also really cute.
