Very good shoe. I bought this Lowa and a Salomon. While I liked the Lowa, it was wider in the heel and my foot slipped when I walked. I am returning this Lowa pair. Except for the heel slippage, they were comfortable and supportive.

I got UK 6.5, Euro 40, US 8.5. Length and width were correct, very comfortable shoe. But I kept slipping out of the heel, not the snug fit at the heels I have in Keen's, my usual hiking shoe brand. Even with different kind of socks, it did not feel better. As I was looking for a hiking shoe that would also look ok for a winter/early spring trip to the city with lots of walking, I had hoped Lowa was a bit more stylish than the good old broad Keen Voyageur. So unfortunately the Lowa are going back and the Keen on another trip, stylish or not.

I purchased a similar Lowa shoe some months ago in size 8, but the 8 in this model was considerably shorter. Zappo’s customer service rep was exceedingly helpful in recommending the 1/2 size larger which fits perfectly on my somewhat narrow foot. The shoe is a deep navy blue and serves as a cross between sneakers and hiking boots, making it something of a “ATV” for feet without being clunky. It is beautifully made, durable, waterproof, accommodates an orthotic, and a good value even if rather expensive. I absolutely love this shoe!

Lowa Taurus Pro GTX Lo WS are an excellent supportive hiker. I walk 16 miles a week through city streets & parks with varying terrain & moisture. Lowa lasts 3x longer than any other brand, and they fit & support better the entire time. Don't think twice about spending the money.

Overall true-to -size and comfortable. Exactly what I wanted in a durable “low-hiker” that I would never hike in (need the ankle support for hiking). My second pair as the first begins to show wear at many years of winter wear about town. Warm and waterproof, Lowa will always have my vote as long as it stays true to itself. Would have liked no design on the shoes but it’s muted. Plenty of room for my orthotics.

The shoes are very nice, but buyer BEWARE! The sizing is wrong. I am a European 40, UK 6.5 which equals a US 9. I ordered accordingly. On the box is said US 9, Euro 41, UK7. The shoes were too long. Other than that the the width was perfect and they are very comfortable. Also the style and colours (blue) are very nice, a bit on the dark side. I am returning and will order one size down. Let's see how they turn out.

I ordered two walking/hiking shoes. These look nice, and are now made in Slovenia (like the Msaddox WS ). Both say US size 7, EU 38, but these are shorter.

I was very excited to find this new Lowa style at Zappos. But unforutnately, it is not the first time I experienced size discrepancies with Lowa shoes. The size chart does not match the size on the shoes. Size US 7 is not a European 39! The shoe was way to big and I had to return it. Also, the quality did not feel as sturdy as my other Lowas.
