Rating is prob more 3.5 stars. This is a first time receiving any shoes labeled "Skate" instead of "Pro". I know lots of people didn't like pros cuz if the snug fit. The first day they were quite snug, but they loosened up after a day of solid wear. Well, it appears as if they've overcompensated for that with the old skool skate, which seem much wider than the pro or classic. The length of the shoe seems to be correct, but they def look larger and unfortunately slip in the heel. I'm going to return and get a half size smaller to see if that helps... I hope so because I liked the Pro's! Now that my feet have had some arch support there's no going back to ANY of the classics for me, they absolutely tear up my foot until I can't walk properly.

I love the look and the feel the only thing is I normally wear an 8 womens and they were too snug because of their insole. Had to return go a half size up. Otherwise really perfect shoe.

I love this color way! I like the pop cush insole. A little sturdier than the comfy cush & still comfortable to wear all day.

Love the design and it fit just right

They look great but no one should have to spend 10 freaking minutes putting their shoes on. Even just a little loop at the back of the heel would have been great.

These shoes are just too hard to put on. I feel like I have a wide foot when I really don't. The way the tongue is made on these shoes is what's so frustrating. I know I see people talking about having to let them settle in their feet but I don't even know that I can do that because of how tight they feel on my feet. I will be returning and getting something else. As of right now, I've had to tie the shoe laces only half way, so they don't hurt my feet.

I love the Comfy Cush, but they discontinued them. So, I gave these a try. Not very comfortable, they make your feet look wide. I won't be buying them again. They might be perfect for a guy. Not for this girl.

Loved the shoes, just ran half a size small.

I agree with some other comments on how this updated version are a bit different. Def tighter in the toe box and take forever to break in. I do like the new tongue tie downs which keep the tongue from sliding, but I feel like it adds to the tightness.

I wanted to use these for my every day shoes. I bought them online and they ended up being super uncomfortable. I have worn them about 5 times after and they still hurt the top of my feet. They go with everything though and look amazing.

The shoe color is an amazing deep gray. I love everything about the design and the finish on parts of the leather portions. The shoe is extremely "sticky" and it's extremely difficult to slide on. Actually they're no sliding in at all. You have to completely loosen the laces far down and pull to get your foot in. Once the shoe is on, the fit is great. It feels like a good true 11.5 fit for me. One problem I am hoping will go away and I've never experienced with another Vans product , or other shoe for that matter is this: part of the tongue or upper portion pushes on my upper ankle area only the right shoe and it cuts off blood from veins. It's very painful immediately. I tried adjusting the tightness and even made it extremely loose but the problem persists.

I thought there were classic but they are different. 8-(

I wish these sneakers weren't so tight and uncomfortable. I want to keep them but just walking around the house with them my feet started to hurt.

So the shoe felt good after wearing them for about a week or so. Only issue with it is the parts that are canvas obviously ripped mildly fast and left a hole right behind where the leather under layer stops and around the collar of the shoe

I was super excited to get these because I thought they were so cute! However when they arrived, not only was the paint on the pride flag shoddy but there's tacky looking text on the sidewall that wasn't in the product images. Would not have ordered these if I had known that would be on there.

I got these last week, they are super comfortable and it fits perfectly on my left foot but my right shoe seems to be less padded and rubs on my heel.

I love the shoes but the laces that came with it are so ridiculously short for high tops and for some reason the tongue is held in place by elastic

Shoe looks great just like the pictures but man the back of my heel is being rubbed raw by the shoe.

never had problems wearing high tops but these just run so small and narrow it's impossible to get my foot in and i mainly bought them because my last name is Thrasher

I like the color combination, however, I assumed the leather would be like the leather on the classic VANS, and not suede. I don't really like the smooth leather look on these, but they may grow on me.
