I have been trying to get a pair of large checks for long time and these hit the mark n looks perfectly. Unfortunately something is off on dimensions as back of ankle instantly started rubbing against me and both feet have blisters where shoes rubs. It's not shoes size bc I do have 10 pairs at 10.5 and all fit. It is just too tight around ankle I feel. I wear no-see docks from vans. So bummed

I've never had a problem with the pros, I wanted to give these new slip-on shoes a try, I had to size up because it wasn't the same sizing as the pros and I can definitely say it's a tight fit, I like how it's more durable but not at the expense of comfort and pain, I love vans slip ons so I hope they try new things out and not settle for the formula they have currently.

Like many others, I have found these shoes to be unwearable due to bad fit and terrible blister-causing heel rub. I've worn Vans for more than 30 years. My shoe size hasn't changed in decades. So why can't I count on the fact that these would fit the same as Classics? They're tight all around even with thin socks, and the heel rub is brutal. Maybe it's the "Internal heel stiffeners" you guys added, I dunno. I love the improved durability features, look, styling, and the popcush concept. I really wanted these shoes to work. But so far they're just $$ down the drain.

Very firm shoe, the heel is very tough and the shoe overall just hurts to wear. After two days of skating in them I just cant wear them anymore because my feet have blisters from the shoes, I even went a size up.

I have always loved the checkerboard slip ons! I have several old pairs currently! My wife and I just bought a pair, man what's up vans!?!? What changed? They killed both our heels the first few hours of wearing them! Blisters on both heels for me and my wife!

Two pairs of vans...both got holes in the big toe area fairly quickly. Fir this price, I expect them to last for over a year. Casual wear. Work (a retail job) the park, walking the dog. Also, customer service sucked trying to replace a pair that got a hole 2 months after purchase. They were jerks, rude.

After reading comments, I went a size bigger, they are still so hard to get on. The fabric is so stiff, no give at all. I love the look, but the fit is not good. They are extremely tight/low in the Toe/Vamp area. If you have an arch, you foot will hurt.

I can't figure out the sizing of these. My normal size and a size up are way too small.

A few weeks in and they're still really stiff and give me hot spots and blisters on heals and tops of feet. The older versions were way better.

Great look, but really bad design. You will get bloody blisters on your heel every time, and they feel super tight. Would not recommend.

This could really be the perfect Vans slip on. Except that the sewn-in heel support is so poorly executed that I get bloody blisters on my heel every time I wear them. If Van's ever fixes this problem, this would be my perfect shoe.

I got 2 days' worth of wear on these before a large hole of wear came in on the side of the shoe. I expect this kind of wear from my shoes but after 2 days of use I would expect the fabric to hold. I got these from my local shop and would have stuck with the Skate old Skool model had they been available.

They look fantastic but hurt. If you do get them maybe a size up or 2.

Liked the shoe, really nice colors. However, the shoe is not very comfortable. I wore it out for an evening and my feet hurt after 3 hours.

bought online under the sale tab and i feel the discount was because the shoe had a defect. same thing happened with some adidas i got, eh. Maybe just a coincidence but I was too eager to skate and dealt with it. now Im living with a regret. Half the rating since the other shoe feels fine

I have another pair of these - different color - and these particular pair were way too tight. My toes felt so scrunched. In fact, I formed callouses on my pinky toes from the rubbing due to the tightness of the shoes. I don't know if this was an anomaly in the sizing or the production of the shoe itself, but I would not recommend these.

These lasted about a week of actual skating before they were completely trashed. Comfortable but not made to actually skate. Do better vans, we can afford to buy new shoes every week

I have worn multiple pairs of this variant/size of Old Skool for a couple years, and I'm not sure whether something changed or a defect made it through the pipeline, but the most recent pair I got absolutely obliterated my ankle. I'm not talking blisters; these gave me a genuine hole that needed gauze and daily washes to prevent infection. I had to throw away multiple pairs of socks from the blood from just the first few days of wearing these. This is the first ever pair of Vans that have done this to me, and I've been wearing them since I was a kid. Equally concerning as it is disappointing.

Been wearing old skool skate for years and years and they've always been brilliant, so bought a new pair for a trip to Manhattan with 100% confidence they'd be comfy for miles and miles of exploration. I think I am solely responsible for the fantastic share performance of a major NY pharmacy chain in the recent, as I've tried every band aid product they have to help with the hideous blisters these new ones have caused me. Dreadful shoes and a tragic fall from grace. My blisters are so bad I will probably be scarred forever. Vans - what have you done?!

I have had these less than a year and they are falling apart and have became the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever had the misfortune of putting on my foot

I wear these as just normal, daily shoes. I don't skate. When I got them, I thought "rad! New technology vans!!!" However. They started falling apart 1 month in. Now, 8 months in... I've worn through the sole, and the various glued pieces are all falling apart. I've noticed the quality of vans going downhill for a while. But I was REALLY hoping they'd fix it. Now, I can no longer convince myself to buy them. I'm super bummed about this breakup.

Purchased 11 months ago. I wear them about 2-3 days a week as casual shoes. Nothing crazy. Soles started peeling off after 6 months. "Duracap" is trash.

This will probably be my last pair of Vans shoes. Vans have become unwearable. They have not broken in after over a week of daily wear walking around at work. My heels look like hamburger meat. Bandages aren't even helping anymore. I've crushed the heels. Flexed the heels to no avail. Plus they feel like someone put particle boards in the soles with a cardboard cushion. The decline of Vans is complete. I used to be able to find one or two shoes that are comfortable but now even the slip one are terribly uncomfortable. Do better!
