I love Vans and have been wearing them almost exclusively for several years. I always wear Men's size 10 but these are small for size 10 and feel tight

I had to take the insoles out of mine because they were cramping my feet. They look great and feel better without the insole. I wish vans would scale up the whole shoe because it seems like all they did was put a big insole in an Old Skool shoe without leaving enough room for someone's foot. BTW, I have a regular pair of Old Skools and the X Hockey. The X Hockey feels like the same shoe with a fancy exterior and an insole that's too big for it at the same shoe size, 11

Let me start out with, this is my first pair of Van's. I LOVE everything about this skateboard shoe.... except one 1: Insole is great and flexible 2: They look great 3: The sticky sole grip is perfect 4: The ankle support and padding is great. 5: They included 3 pairs of laces Now, the downside. 1 hour into re-learning how to ollie (I'm 35 years old) and landing quite a few! There is now a huge hole in the canvas exactly where every skateboarder has to slide their foot to complete the very basic of all tricks. Now maybe I'm crazy but.. shouldn't a skateboard shoe actually have suede instead of canvas in this area so they last longer than an hour?

So the shoe felt good after wearing them for about a week or so. Only issue with it is the parts that are canvas obviously ripped mildly fast and left a hole right behind where the leather under layer stops and around the collar of the shoe

I was super excited to get these because I thought they were so cute! However when they arrived, not only was the paint on the pride flag shoddy but there's tacky looking text on the sidewall that wasn't in the product images. Would not have ordered these if I had known that would be on there.

Heavier than i thought and on top of everything they did not fit. Did not care for the outside art design either so had to return.

Please bring back the pros. They were way more comfortable and seemed to be better constructed

I got these last week, they are super comfortable and it fits perfectly on my left foot but my right shoe seems to be less padded and rubs on my heel.

Black on Black skateboard suede looks dope. The only and the huge drawback is the sizing. I normally wear a size 10, sized up to a 10.5 still it was crushing my feet especially on the top. Finally decided to go with a 11 (for the first time in life) and they are kinda okay but the back wiggles a little bit when walking. Really liked the look otherwise would have passed it.

Shoes are made very well but the insoles are way too thick. I could barely get my foot in. Im wearing them without insoles until I purchase a thinner pair.

I love my skate slip ons, they took a REALLY long time to break in, and did irritate and even damaged my heels. I'm writing this 4 months post purchase. But once they broke in they were fine. I really do prefer the older soft ankle/sock liner that the Slip On Pros had when compared to the skate slip ons. This is a change I noticed that's also on the Skate Old Skools, where the Old Skool Pros had a softer liner around the ankles and heels. Other than this though, I do like all the additional changes such as the support inside the heel between the outside and midsole, it makes skating in them easier. PLEASE BRING BACK THE SOFT SOCK/ANKLE LINING THAT WAS ON THE PROS!!! THAT WOULD MAKE THIS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! IF YOU KEPT IT ON THE SK8-HI, WHY NOT THESE AND THE SKATE OLD SKOOLS!?!?!

I was giving the shoes a few weeks to be broken in before writing a review. These are the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever had to put on… And that’s the issue, putting them on is like a full-time job, the material does not give to let the heel of your foot in, I’ve owned so many pairs of Vans, and this is such a love-hate relationship because I love how they look, but hate putting them on.

I like the color combination, however, I assumed the leather would be like the leather on the classic VANS, and not suede. I don't really like the smooth leather look on these, but they may grow on me.

I love vans, but they changed the design and i hate them. The leather around the ankle colar doesnt allow the shoe to breathe, the tounge is too tight too

Make a slip-on that skates better than the Janoski slip-on and I will never buy another shoe again. Notes to the designers: * The Slimmer outsole, sleeker shape around the ankle, and overall fit are much better than the Slip-on Pros (Which I can easily fling off my foot into a nearby tree they get so loose). * Heel to toe drop feels just a hair too high. Might be great for running shoes but not so much skateboarding. * Heel is a bit too squishy and unstable. Input to my board gets lost in the insole (can't feel my board). Feels like I have to balance inside my shoe slightly and my skateboard all at once. Tried switching out insole with a bunch of other ones but didn't pair well with the higher heel counter and had just way too much board feel. -impact protection is cool, but energy return and control is also. * Please wear them in Florida without socks for a few days. It's almost as hot and sweaty as wearing plastic bags for socks, not so much the Janoskis. * Inside material is not very forgiving without socks, top of the toes gets sanded off and the heel too sometimes.

Vans are pretty much the only shoes I wear aside from sandals and boots occasionally. I know that Vans can be pretty uncomfortable shoes but these are the most uncomfortable shoes I've worn in my entire life counting the time I wore heals for 6 hours straight and I could barely walk after. I wore these shoes for two hours at my college classes and walked for maybe 15 minutes and had cuts all over the back of my ankles. These shoes are the perfect fit they aren't snug and I've been wearing vans for almost 10 years but these shoes are ridiculously painful. I have to wear bandages on the backs of my ankles anytime I want to wear these. I love Vans but shoes make for skating shouldn't cut your feet walking around I can't imagine how bad they would hurt if I skated in them. I'll stick to my slip ons for now.

I'm just loving Vans! The price, durability, fit and minimalistic aspect is of it but hey I know I bought it on sale but why are stitches incomplete?

I have 3 other pairs of Vans Asher Slip Ons in size 7 1/2 that I love. All fit comfortably. Ordered these in 7 1/2 and they were too small/too tight and they killed my feet. Spent 2 days walking around the house in them hoping they'd stretch out or feel better but they never did. Better off ordering these in a size up. I've returned them and I'm waiting for Vans to issue credit. Have since seen suede slip ons that I like and will order.

I love van shoes, but the skate high tops run a little small. I normally wear a 13, but need a 14 in theses because it hurts my toes, I wish I could just exchange for my size but you have to do another purchase and then wait for a refund.
