This hat is so perfect for my little girl! She's an average size 8mo and the hat fits great cinched down in the back. There's plenty of room for her to grow into the hat so it'll work for years to come which is perfect! It doesn't look overly big right now either which is what I was worried about. I tried it on my small 3yo and it got him too. Customer service was great and super helpful when I emailed asking about sizing!

ok so this hat is basically perfect. i learned about it from a grandma at the playground and since purchasing it, i've convinced a handful of other parents to buy it too. we used this hat EVERYDAY for the past 6 months but alas. the inevitable has happened. my 13 month old figured out how to take the hat off and tossed it at some point during our daily walk(s) in the park. we've been lost without it. i want to buy another one but i'm afraid it'll suffer the same fate. the only reason this isn't a perfect hat is that the strap on the back of the hat comes loose quite easily (after awhile) and the hat therefore becomes a bit loose, which i believe is how my son was able to get it off. not sure where to go from here but still would highly recommend this hat to others who have less hat-averse children!

Amazing hat. Even works for swimming. Great quality. For size: If your kid has a large head (80-90th percentile) size up. The medium barely fit my 3.5yo

I'll give 5 stars. This is my fifth Sunday Afternoon hats I bought for my grandchildren. They can last forever. They wear for outdoor playing, sports, swimming, soccer, etc. I love the quality of the hats and the services customer see provides.

Can't beat the value! Even with shipping, if you want a hat that keeps its shape and lasts, this is it. Going on 3 years, same great hat for our toddler. Got a large and just sizing it to fit has worked for us. Now little brother gets one!

Perfect for littles! Stays on with the adjustable head and chin strap while running around on the playground but safe with the breakaway feature. Back collapses for stroller use and even rolls nicely in diaper bag. Even our kiddo, who doesn't like things on her head, keeps this baby on! So great we have 2 and is worn every single day by our fair-haired daughter!

Best beach hat ever. Tried every kind of hat and this is by far our favorite. The brim is stiff and doesn't flop in kids face when wet. Great back/neck coverage for kids who play all day in the sand. Will recommend to all my beach friends!

This hat is so amazing that my mother, upon seeing it, said that she needs one just like it for our mile-high hot Colorado summers!! It is comfy and covers the entire face and neck, alleviating the need for sunscreen

Just had my two year old wear this hat all week at the beach and it was amazing! Never bothered him a bit. Fit great and had great coverage from the sun. Highly recommend!!

This is, hands down, the BEST hat we own. My 3 kids have lived in these hats for years (eldest is 7, almost 8, and she's been wearing them since her first birthday). The brim stays in place even when wet, and the back protects their necks/shoulders and doesn't get in the way of the car seat or stroller. They pack flat and take up no space when traveling. We started with solid colors, and have since switched to prints to hide dirt/paint/stains the prints are the way to go for kids! There is only one minor change I would make: add a breakaway for the strap on both sides. We don't deal with much wind in Denver, and my kids prefer no strap, so I end up cutting the straps off all our hats since there is a breakaway connector on only one side which leaves the whole strap dangling. When we travel or take beach vacations, it would be nice to have straps for windy days. If SA would put a breakaway connection on both ends of the strap, we could remove the strap 99% of the time but put it back on when needed. This is SUPER picky and I almost hesitate to mention it because we really do love these hats, but just wanted to throw it out there in case SA is reading this :)

Great quality hat that actually fits my child appropriately. Vents help with air flow.

Awesome awesome AWESOME kids hat! Highly recommend. My daughter loved it! Unfortunately I lost it after having for a couple weeks. I would love to blame it on my daughter but I totally did it.

This is the 3rd Sunday Afternoon hat we have purchased for our daughter over the years. We LOVE them and SHE loves them too (and hats are not always her favorite!) GREAT purchase: great adjustable fit, great sun coverage, great patterns, and GREAT GIFTS!

This is the absolute BEST kids hat - hands down! I get asked every single day where it is from and I always recommend it for a variety of reasons. It is the only hat our littles will wear, starting from around 12 months of age. Best purchase ever.
