I looked long and hard for a hat to replace the Tilley that I somehow mysteriously lost. This one seemed like exactly what I wanted. After reading reviews of other similar hats, I decided ot make the purchase. I am very happy that I did. All the reviews I read were accurate: the hat is great to be out in a boat on a windy day with the chin strap. The breathability is key in the deep south where I live and tropical destinations that I visit. It also looks good around the pool without the chin strap. My sunglasses don't fit perfectly in the side holder but I don't really use that feature a whole lot and do not consider it an issue. Perhaps most importantly, I've traveled with the hat twice in 2 weeks and it packs down in luggage but retains its shape perfectly afterwards. It got some rough treatment on the 2nd trip but still looks great.

I bought this for a 3 week river cruise in Europe. I was concerned about its packability but hat returned to shape with no signs of being in a suitcase to two days. Inside adjustments allowed me to dial in a perfect fit. While I initially thought the sunglass holder on the hat was gimmicky, I used it quite often and love the feature. I could take my hat off in church cathedrals and sunglasses stayed firmly on the hat. This is a fantastic hat and I will be buying more hats from Sunday Afternoons.

This hat keeps my skin comfortably protected from Miami's fierce sun. With the adjustable inside band, size large fits over thick, long hair. Surprisingly coolso I'll pack it for our African safari.

very nice hat, but I bought medium base don the cm/inches description, and it turned out to be too tight, so i need large. Protects but it is cool. It retains shape well.

Great protection from sun. Initially felt tight but became comfortable. The breeze through does keep it cooler.

So far very nice Sun Hat. Took a trip to California and really liked how top of hat pushes in for travel purposes. Also liked the airflow.

What a well thought out hat! Easy to adjust the fit, easy to take the strap on and off and store it in the clever pocket in the underside of the top, Amazing in the wind! Played golf in a 3 club wind and never worried about losing the lid. Kinda shocking really. On the negative side . . . their fulfillment sucks! Really slow to ship it. Called customer service and they were really nice but . . . get this fixed Sunday as it erodes customer confidence. As it turns out it was worth the wait but . . .

Was looking for a wide brimmed golf hat and found this one. Love the material and features and most of all the fit.

I bought this hat 2 years ago and still enjoy wearing it! It's stylish and extremely functional. It wasn't until I was looking to buy a second one that I learned about the sunglass lock! I use that feature every time I wear my hat. The adjustable sizing makes it the most comfortable hat I've ever had.

The fit and size were perfect and I appreciate the adjustable straps inside. I was expecting it to be a bit more stylish but it's a great hat overall.

Love my new hat. Perfect snug fit for all the wind we have in southern NV. I wanted a firm brim that wouldn't be effected by the wind. This hat is perfect. Love the ventilation on my head.

This hat will be perfect for some of my favorite summer activities: kayaking and back packing. It's surprisingly very lightweight while still having a broad rim to shade from the sun.

This is a sharp looking hat and incredibly durable. I had my first one for 3 years, worn almost daily as a solar tech. That means I need the best sun protection and ventilation. I replaced the original only because I couldn't wash out the industrial abuse any more. Having said that rest assured normal use washes off easily and completely. Great hat very well priced.

Waited until I wore it to the beach to review it. Love the ventilation. Head stayed comfortable all day. Adjustable fit is good.

I love my Charter breeze hat. I have another hat from Sunday Afternoons that I was wearing year round but it got too hot in the summer sun. The vents on it were small. It is more of a winter/rain hat than a summer hat. The Charter Breeze hat vents out really well. The first day I wore it I could immediately tell the difference. It is great! The brim is wide and blocks the sun from my ears and nose.

We live in Southwest Florida and I own a landscaping company and fish a lot. I have gone through many, and this hat has not failed in the July/August heat and humidity. I work outside for ten+ hours a days and sweat profusely( multiple shirts) and this hat has been my new go to. It is worth the extra money for the adjustable strap(because I have a small head, the detachable chin strap is also nice if you don't want it. For instance, I take it off if I have headphones on and it is too many strings to get tangled. The hat also stays on in a strong wind and the brim stays firm. Overall a very well constructed hat. Better than a Tilley.

I am right between a medium and a large, but the adjustment system works pretty well. Also I use a headband which also snugs up the hat.

This is my second Sunday Afternoon hat. I still have the first, but they're just that good ! You'll want a second.
