I've worn this hat for years & love it! I use it for sun protection & don't require sunscreen on my face, ears or neck. I recently recommended it to a fisherman who will use it for bug & sun protection.

This is my "go to" hat for both gardening and hiking, because the broad brim and neck shade give the ultimate in sun protection, while this special fabric keeps the bugs off. It also packs easily in my backpack. I like how lightweight it feels on my head, and the chin strap keeps it secure even on windy days.

Easy to pack, provides great sun coverage, super lightweight, and really did seem to keep mosquitoes away!!! Def became an important part of my tropical travel wardrobe.

Very comfortable. I notice this doesn't have green on it, when I bought my last one, I was told that the green filters the sun better. Is this true? Either way, the brim is nicer on this one and is firmer.

First walk with the hat was ina light rain and it did a good job repelling. We'll see how it holds up repelling bugs. Have a purple and blue one for the kids, too. It's a great hat for hiking!

I have actually bought two of these hats recently because I lost the first one after a few days. I looked and looked but then decided I couldn't be without so I investing in a new one. So mine cost a little more but I truly need it as this heat in Portland at 113 degrees is horrible. I am so grateful for this hat to shade me from some of those rays.. keep making them.

Perfect hat for my husband, who burns easily, and likes to garden and be outside. Great neck coverage. Nice size brim for face coverage. Quick dry. Great quality.

The hat is light and durable. Not too sure the bug free status as I had bugs on the brim of the hat and crawl under toward my face. They didn't seem to stay long but was a little irritating. I may have had too high of an expectation for this had. Did a great job protecting my neck and shoulders for the sun.

This hat is everything I wanted in a hard working gardening hat. It keeps the sun off my face and neck without being hot. And absolutely no bugs! But because of the super wide brim which is perfect for shading it catches a lot of wind and I have trouble keeping it on, even with the chin strap cinched tight. I tilted my head up to talk to a neighbor and whoof! it was off the back of my head. I had hoped to use this hat for paddle boarding, but I need a hat that stays put when I'm out on the water.
