These are super comfortable and don't restrict my movement. They're also nicely lightweight for Texas summers. The one drawback is a big one: I don't like the pockets at all. Things regularly fall out of my pockets when I'm just wearing them around the house; I think it's due to the angle of the pocket openings combined with the shallow depth of the pockets. They're so bad that I wish they'd just skipped pockets entirely. I kept these because they're great aside from that one drawback, but only use them in combination with a pack that allows me to skip pockets entirely, and will continue searching for the perfect hiking shorts. I'm around 5'10" and 140 pounds, and the medium fits well, but I'm not far from needing to size up to a large.

I'm sad to see despite all the reviews that MH is still using the dynama 2 cut when the original was more flattering. They are still a great well made short by all means but this new style puckers out on both the front AND over the butt. Normally I wear a size 6 or S in the original but even the XS in the dynama 2 leaves oversized puckering. Please bring back the original!

I hate wearing shorts in general but the original Dynama shorts (not the Dynama 2) were the first shorts I actually ENJOYED wearing. Sadly, I agree with others leaving reviews here. The Dynama 2 is not as good as the original. I'm so disappointed! I bought and kept a pair of the Dynama 2 but they are much baggier and the fabric is pretty abrasive. I'm hoping the originals I bought 2-3 years ago continue to hold up. I wear them everywhere during the summer. Leaving a review here in hopes that MH will consider going back to the original style!

The woman's Dynama short was my absolute favorite! I ordered 2 pair of the new Dynama 2 shorts...not the same. They do have the same great feel and fit except they are much shorter, which might be great for some but not for me. I wish I could find my old favorites, I would get every color available, but they seem to be sold out everywhere. If the shorter length doesn't bother you...great short for outdoor adventures or just hanging around the house!

Bring back the old style. These don't fit as nice and material isn't as nice. Returning these as I thought the color would be brighter but it's really dull and faded

I have a brown pair of the old version I LOVE. Then I ordered blue in the new ones and they were huge. I was swimming in them, and they're still sitting in my drawer because I didn't return them. Not only are they bigger, the legs flair out in a frumpy way. I'd have them in every color if they'd bring back the style from 2020.

Bring back the versions you have had in previous years. They were my fav. Fit so nice, nice length too. Not impressed with these at all

Do not waste your time! IF you are a lover of the older previous versions do not buy these, you will be disappointed. I sure was. I have the older version in multiple colors, and LOVED them. The fabric of the dynama 2 is stiff, weird, scratchy, and the fit is off. They fit ok in the waist, but the leg and butt are big. I had read the reviews, and thought they can't be that bad, but they are. DON'T BUY. and Mountain hardware go back to your previous version. Don't wreck a good thing!
