I used to run about 13 miles a day with little regard for my feet. Now, in my senior years, I'm paying the price. Bunions, hook toes, cross over toes -- malformed feet. Granted some of it could be genetic. Since I don't want surgeries (6 months lay-up), I've been looking for comfortable shoes for years. These fit the bill. I can walk painlessly in these. For those who may have problems with their feet -- the Nike Monrachs are an amazing value -- padded on the inside. The Asics Contend 7 are another shoe that are wonderful. Both are available on Zappos and importantly both are 10MM drop -- very important for people with bad feet -- less the drop the better. All of that said, the 880's are fantastic. I chose them over the 1080v11 and the Morev2 because they're well rounded -- not too cushy -- and they don't have an attached tongue -- the other's do. Hope this helps.

I have wide feet and a high arch. I have been to specialty shore stores and tried on dozens of sneakers. These are he best for me and since I already had a pair, I bought a second from Zappos for when my current ones wear out.

Light, comfortable shoe. Foot breathes while wearing them. Like them a lot.

Bought these for my daughter who was struggling with keeping up on our walks. Her Converse just weren't cutting it anymore. These shoes rock! She enjoys walking now and isn't hurting like she was before. Highly recommend!

Spent years wearing the 990’s and thought I’d never find a better sneaker but after recently trying the new 880v11 I’m convinced I’ll never go back to the more expensive 990. Outstanding comfort and very lightweight and breathable. Perfect for all environments especially those hot summer months.

This shoe was too small and tight for me although it is the same size as the shoe I am wearing. It is a nice looking shoe but not for me because of the fit.

Another review mentioned the smaller toe box. But I ordered my pair anyway hoping that they would work. When I received my pair, indeed, the toe box height had been decreased so much that my toe was pushing up on the inside of the shoe. Felt uncomfortable and will wear through promptly so had to return them. Bummer. Searched internet and located exactly what I had which is the 880 version 9. Had to really search around though.

So small I couldn't get my feet into the shoes. What has happened to New Balance's quality control?

I wear these with my orthotics and they fit me perfectly. They run smaller than other sneakers but they are really comfortable. My normal size is 10.5

Very happy. I had bought a pair of these at a runner's store and I liked them so well that I decided to get another pair, only in a different color.

Great, comfortable shoe. Enough room for ortho insoles. Lightweight. Look good.

The first pair I ordered in my regular size and they were to short, so I exchanged them for a half size larger and still too short. Exchanged them again for 1 full size larger and they fit great. Light weight, comfortable and a very cushy feel when walking.

Shoes are very light, very comfortable, and fit well without having the appearance of a large shoe. In other words, great!

Very comfortable, great fit, lightweight, no heel slip. The standard width is wider than expected but still works after tightening the laces. The length was as expected. The cushion is generous but not excessive. It helps with injury recovery and maintenance. It's among the best all-around running shoes.

The size I use is unusual, but it gives me the comfort i have come to appreciate

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box for me. I’m on my feet all day, and these shoes provide great support. No complaints.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

The upper provides good stability and comfort, plenty of room at the toes and sung everywhere else. My previous two shoes were brooks (ghost, adrenaline) which I liked. The brooks are a bit narrower, a bit lighter. The biggest difference being the cushion- brooks has more springy feel but they’re both comfortable. I have only put about thirty miles on them, but I am guessing they will hold up well. The outsole might be the weak link. The upper is great in terms of support and being snug without causing any pressure points. Overall it’s a solid choice. No complaints.

I've been wearing NB 880s for a few years now; these are more or less in line with the old ones, although for some reason I feel like the toe box is a little smaller than it used to be (I wear 8 wide, and that's what I purchased). The rest of the shoe looks great and feels great though, and I always have to buy inserts but I think that's par for the course for any non-orthotic shoe. These are great if you have flat feet, and I've been brand loyal for about 4 of these now.
