I purchased these shoes for my 16 year old basketball player..specifically for basketball. If you are purchasing for fashion and are okay with minimal arch support it is a great shoe. As for a basketball shoe I absolutely do not recommend these shoes. No support, No shock absorbing capabilities, and overall no support or comfort for the important areas of a basketball playing and practicing foot and ankle.
