I wore them for a week and there was a giant hole in the side of the right shoe and the left was developing a similar one. Very disappointing.

I'm at that place where I probably should return them, but being a size 14, 2E/4E width my options are very limited in the best of times, and it seems most of the other shoes I might consider are all sold out. Also hate to keep sending shoes back on Zappos's dime. Left side fits better than the right, especially with regard to heel lift, and I have tried a lot of lacing strategies to fix to no avail - I'm hoping break-in will help as it is a real annoyance. Wonder if it is a manufacturing problem having the heel box cut too wide? The shoes do not have that 'ahh, these are comfy, feel great shoes'... They feel hard while walking w/o a cushioned feeling, stiff sole, and for the given EE width, the sole at its narrowest point is RIDICULOUSLY narrow... Like walking an a skating blade feeling, lack of stability with a lot of my foot hanging over the side. Why do this NB?... To save a few pennies using a D width sole on a EE labeled shoe??? See the attached photo of this shoe on the right, a NB 4 series model on the left - Look how narrow the sole is, and how far the shoe upper hangs over the side... And that's not even being worn, which has it hanging over a lot more! I know they are an inexpensive shoe in the NB line; just the same they seem cheaply built and on the lower side of quality. Even considering the absolute nightmare it is for me to purchase shoes, I must say Zappos has been great, and I appreciate the military discount; thank you. Thanks for reading my review.

Feel like I can run faster, jump higher whilst lookin smooth as silk

These are my heavy-use sneakers and they are holding their own in my workouts.

So far, I've only tried them on--haven't worn them,but they feel good on my feet. Like the looks--:-/ I've been looking for red a long time. These are mens but I ordered a size recommended to me by someone at Zappos.

The shoe was way too narrow to be a 4E.

Slightly narrow

Hardly lasted a month! Wore them for the month of August, and by early September, a hole developed in the toe.

New Balance are the most comfortable shoes for men.

I usually purchase the N B 993's, but couldn't pass these up due to better pricing.

True to size

These fit great, are super comfy, and have a nice, classic, basic, black and white design. Hard to find sometimes!

I am partial disabled and the shoes fit perfectly with my cumbersome afo plastic braces allowing me to have an active life again! I love these New Balance Classics

Like the color, fits well.

My Boy is 8 wearing a size 8 1/2 in men. Feet is wide and has a deep heel cup. Was worried they only had medium width because I just bought him a blue pair same sneaker but wide and he has plenty room around the ankle but These fit perfectly.. He always has to take his soles out regardless his feet went in these so medium width in these are fine for wide feet.. Getting him every color cause it’s hard buying him sneakers..

These shoes fit great, look great, and are very comfortable.

Comfortable got wrong size unfortunately

I have wide feet and have always had problems getting shoes that actually feel good, even supposedly "wide" sizes. This shoe feels very comfortable, especially around the widest area near the first joints of the toes. I did need to get a slightly larger size however: I normally would wear a size 8.5, but that size was not as comfortable as the size 9 I finalized on. In addition, the traction of this shoe with the ground is excellent.

Was true to size. Material light abd breathable. Support pretty good so far ;)

Great retro look, comfortable shoes and they fit true to size on my extra wide feet. The top of the laces have a slightly strange look but I just changed up the lacing pattern and it’s fine. Note these don’t have the super thick sole that seems to be coming back with retro sneakers—regular thickness works fine. The insoles were a little thin but I substituted some insoles with more support.

Very comfortable and stylish sneaker. The fit is true to size.

I love the look of these shoes…especially when I wear my jeans. Nice style!
