I have never owned any Skechers and I liked the look of these. I normally wear Merrells. My Merrells are like a well worn pair of slippers right out of the box. These unfortunately were not. The size seems to run true as I wear 9.5-10 depending on manufacture and ordered 10’s which fit good. Now the pros and cons..
Pros: I like the look of these. They seem well made and soles are very aggressive so hiking etc should be no problem with traction. I like the lacing system and overall looks.
Cons: I researched and read a lot
Of reviews of how nice the cushion was etc. I found none of that. The foot bed is good not to thick or thin however these are the most painful shoes out of the box I have owned. I totally get a “break in period” but the ankle and side toe area are horribly uncomfortable. I have worn these 12 plus hours a day everyday for close to a week and walked well over 50k steps and still no relief. I expected a better comfort level from the start but is hasn’t improved since I first put them on. I would have returned them but of course I have worn them to break them in so that’s not an option. I really wanted to love these but they so uncomfortable that Unfortunately unless they get more comfortable and stop hurting they will Become a closet queen and not used.
I'd also recommend:
