These have been AWESOME!! Flat out, favorite safety shoes I've tried! And with all the send-backs I've endured through Zappos for size issues, I've tried well over a dozen pairs. (Issues with sizes/width mismatches.. Zero fault of Zappos! - they've been fantastic to work with when exchanging or returning shoes!) I am a big dude, with big, wide feet... I normally wear 15 extra wide, but in some brands I can do a 14 if they are wide enough. I got these in 14 W based on reviews and they fit great! They were the first pair of safety shoes I ordered through our shoe program @ 'zon, and they're the pair I've worn the most BY FAR since I got them 18 months ago.. got them on right now. I even wear them quite a bit when I'm not at work, including when I fish the banks of the lakes near me, because they are waterproof and very comfortable. I did have custom insoles already from my chiropractor for my last pair of shoes, so I use those in whichever pair I wear. I've worn them HARD for a year and a half, and they're still going strong. Maybe my FAVORITE thing about them, besides the comfortable fit, is the zipper closure. I have a pair of Timberlands and Avengers, both boot style similar to these, and I dislike constantly having to loosen and tighten them, looping the laces around the brackets and re-tie them every time I wear them. These tactical boots I can walk in the door, unzip the shoes and kick them off in 2 seconds. It might seem insignificant, but when you walk in the door after an 11-12+ hour day, you're grateful for that feature!! The waterproof protection seems to have faded a bit, because I stepped in a soggy spot of grass while fishing a few weeks ago and my foot got wet, but that's to be expected. The WP doesn't last forever. I'll try to treat them myself soon. Overall I would say that if a tactical boot appeals to you in style and/or features, I don't think you can go wrong with these!! ***Just in case though, wear them around your house for a day or so to make sure you like them and to help break them in - they don't need much. Lastly, I wanted to reiterate that Zappos is really great about exchanging or refunding until you have the right shoe for you. I see too many people on here complain that it's too late to send them back. They have 365-day returns! Just don't keep trying to wear them if they aren't fitting right, because you'll likely wear them out too much to return. I returned a pair after 330 days.. I just forgot to start the return because I loved my Thorogood's so much! Reach out to Zappos customer service, they're more helpful than a lot of customers seem to realize!!

Shoe is very comfortable and lightweight. It’s just a little big but that’s ok because I’ll wear thicker socks with them! Great for standing long periods of time!

I've always bought RedWing, but Zappos is sponsored through my employer. Thought I would try them out. This shoe ran a bit small for my normal size. I had to reorder 1/2 size bigger, but they were great on the reorder and return! Overall, I'm very pleased with the experience.

Received these boots one day earlier than promised. That’s a plus. Boots seem pretty sturdy and not too heavy. I’ve yet to test them out at work yet, as I’m waiting for colder weather to arrive and will update this review at that time. I’m a huge Red Wing customer, so I don’t know how these boots will compare.

They look heavy, but to me they are lightweight. So I suggest wearing them year round at work.

These boots fit amazing. They’re light weight and they have so much cushion and bounce. Definitely makes a 10 hour shift not too terrible. I’ll totally order these again.

I might have ordered a size to large but im loving the boots regardless, a little bit of foot pain when walking for long periods of time but I can bear with it. Honestly happy with them.

These boots were to heavy to be standing for 8-10 hours working in warehouse

Finally was able to get the boot after several attempts in sizing because they were too big and unfortunately these are still too big. They are somewhat heavy to be standing for 8-10 hours at a time.

The shoe is really uncomfortable due to the zippers bags and hard sides, I can't bear wearing it
