I love everything about this product, from the material, quality and the zippers. The only drawback is the size. I already have a similar type duffel and thought this duffel would be larger. If North Face made a 90L size of the voyager, that would be ideal. I looked at the Base Camp duffel (large) and the size was right but didn't have all the cool features of the voyager that I liked.

Handy size duffel with the ability to compartmentalize. Large enough to pack for several days to week but small enough to avoid an overweight charge. Additionally, I found the backpack straps particularly useful.

The bag is great but too big to use as a carry on and beats the purpose of packing light

I have used this on multiple trips, including to and from multiple European countries and within the US! I have used it only as a carry on bag and have not had any issues so far! I have put it through quite a bit of use on these trips and it has held up fantastically. I docked one star because while it is functional and holds a lot, it isn't the most comfortable, especially when holding a heavy load and wearing for long periods of time. I think that if it had a waist strap, it would be way more comfy.

Using it for rugged international travel. It's great for organizing my gear and will be a great addition to my gear. I don't like the large North Face branding on the sides - it draws too much attention.

Color was too bright orange for my taste. The bag itself seemed sturdy but felt very light weight.

The zippers are sometimes hard to zip. I wouldn't be surprised if they break at some point. I like the divider, but it doesn't stay in place very well.
It's a perfect size for a 3-5 day trip. I like that the lip pouch is divided in two. The shoulder strap design is great.
I strongly recommend this bag.

I use the Voyager as a carry-on. Plenty of space for most trips. The backpack design leaves my hands free for wrangling checked luggage and kids when required. The side handles keep the bag close to the body and eliminate swinging.I never used the carry straps, so I hacked them into compression straps by cutting and adding buckles.

Used the bag twice since the purchase date. Plan to use the bag four more times by Dec. 2022. The bag is just big enough for a full week of clothes. Tons of storage and different storage pockets. Thinking of purchasing the 42L in the near future.

Love the bag, it's durable material & I appreciate the pockets compared to the base camp duffel.
That being said, the voyager doesnt seem as sturdy. The material is fairly flimsy or floppy, so if you dont have a full bag then it caves in on itself. I just prefer a bag with more rigidity/structure. The inner divider flap also doesn't stay secure, so we had to figure out our own way to loop the ties together. Another common complaint people seem to have & that we agree with his the shoulder strap placement, I wish they were attached to the actual bag vs the zippered top flap, though being able to tuck the shoulder straps when not in use is very nice.
From our experience, if you're leaning between the smaller L & the 62, then we wish we would have gone with the smaller size.

Love this bag for traveling and weekend packing. Love that the backpack straps can be tucked away easily. The handles on each side are placed well! The material is durable. It's cute, too!
Cons: the zipper pockets on the upper flap inside of the bag are too small. My husbands duffel is similar to this and his is one big pocket and fits so much more. Kinda bummed about this! Small inconvenience though. The side zipper pocket pushes into the bag, which means less space inside the duffel. Biggest annoyance is the divider, it never stays in place!
Overall 4/5. Will continue to use without the divider and all is well.

The bag is great, however I ended up returning this to TNF because it didn't arrive in time for an international trip. It took 2x as long to ship/arrive past the 3-5 business days expected. It can be purchased on other competitor sites with 2 day free shipping as an fyi.
Great bag if you have 10-14 days to wait for arrival.

It seems very sturdy but wish it had better internal organizational design. Also having a long strap option would be awesome for use as duffle but not backpack. Tons of space and like the shoe compartment.

Solid duffle. I just packed two weeks worth of gear in it for an adventure. The divider is kind of useless though. It's flimsy, and one of the loops it connects through to hold it in place immediately broke. I would have just purchased the original base camp duffle had I known it would break.

I had been looking for a replacement backpack duffel for travelit's my preferred type of bag by far. I used to be obsessed with Baboon bags but they unfortunately have not added laptop sleeves or enough org pockets in general to be useful enough. Otherwise I have traveled with Baboon's medium Go Bag for 2-week overseas trips with no issue (and have never had to check it). So I tried these and loved the utility, especially the outside access pockets. It was perfect for boarding a long flight and grabbing on-plane items quickly without opening the whole bag up. The bag is clearly well made and well thought out. My issues are several: first, the bag was unbearably uncomfortable to wear as a backpack for more than a couple of minutes. It was way more uncomfortable than I anticipated was possible. It seems to have to do with the overvalued feature of being able to fold the whole thing up inside itself when not in use. This makes the fabric thinner and cheaper feeling than competitors' bags and makes the backpack straps lighter and thinner. It allows for weird weight distribution of items inside, creating shifting weight and lumps. I had optimistically bought all 3 sizes and sent them all back after one trip. I next tried Stubble and Co's kit bag series and I must say they are far superior. When you stop trying to make a bag that can fold up inside itself, the material, sturdiness, weight distribution, and backpack function all improves a ton. I've test driven the kit bag now over a weekend trip and am obsessed. It has all the same features I was looking for but far better executed. I just ordered more of their bags, including their everyday backpack.

- When used as a backpack, the straps are too close together at the top (too narrow) so they pinch your neck BADLY. I compared to all other backpacks and they are constructed closer together than every single other pack that i've seen, even small 15L daypacks. THIS IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW! Also the backpack straps have 1/10 padding so they are extremely uncomfortable. The pack is absolutely terrible when used in this way.
- One of the clips broke on day 2 of travel. Super cheap plastic.
- The exterior shell is 300D compared to the 1000D of the original NF duffle. So don't get fooled that this new design is better.
- The bottom is a rough fabric bc the shell is so weak, and that means it also means less water-resistance. So if there's liquid on the floor/surface below, it'll soak into the bag.
- Interior divider always comes lose. The loop system is highly ineffective. Very clear this bag wasn't tested at all.
+ Positives are that it works as a bag... nothing special at all.

Capacity is not accurately advertised and the quality is quite poor for the price. Really disappointing.

This bag is not 62L. In fact it is much smaller than advertised. The advertised dimensions are supposed to be 27''x16''x12.45". However, the bag I got looked small so I measured it. The actual dimensions are 22"x14"x9", which works out to ~ 45L.
There are numerous complaints on reddit that the bag is much smaller than advertised. Apparently the same is true of the 42L.
Frustrating, as I expected more from TNG!
