I loved it. I had several other smaller packs that I used for day hikes, but this held everything I needed for a 2 day and was comfortable also.

I have a slightly older version, I've had mine for 8 years now? It's fabulous. I've taken it on so many outback camping trips across the states, Canada and Europe and it's still in perfect condition. The back is adjustable to your size and it has good comfortable structure which has really helped my back on long trips. You can also pack a house in this bag. I also just love northface, their quality is phenomenal and their customer service is fabulous. One buckle got ripped off of my bag on a plane and I sent it in (this was last year so my bag was already 7 years) and they repaired it, no questions and for free.

This backpack is well worth the money it is very comfortable to carry even under a heavy capacity load my wife is a rockhound and we put more than 50 lb in the backpack in rocks and other items backpacking for the day. It is a lightweight backpack but seems to be good quality material for the most part and I'm sure it will last me a long time

Have only had this long enough for one overnight with my teenage son, but hauled 2-3 p tent, sleeping bag, two camp chairs, food, plates, clothes, and various other stuff. The top is really handy for cinching down, I had the tent stowed that way. Side straps, same, had some other things that wouldn't fit in attached that way. Not really experienced so have not much to compare to but I liked this pack.

I used this pack backpacking for a week in the snowy Utah mountains all the way to the desert. I was able to fit everything I needed in the pack besides some food. It is made with quality materials, very durable, very comfortable, and all under 40 pounds when full. The adjustable shoulder strap technology is my favorite feature allowing you to adjust the shoulder/chest strap anywhere you'd like. It really makes a big difference. I highly recommend this.

Bought it and received it the next day which was amazing since I didn't pay next day delivery (I'm in california) went on an overnight hike with my brother and used this pack, fit everything well and the pack is light weight and it seems durable, had to climb between caves and it sometimes hit on the walls but nothing happens to it, I would recommend it, especially for the price.

Why would they use white material on inside of shoulder straps? I like the orange cooor but it will look dirty and old so soon........

Had the older version of the Terra and this one is a huge upgrade. The hip pockets are clutch, and the beaver pouch on the front lets you stash wet/stinky clothes away from all your freshies inside. Light enough for a solid backpacking trip, compact enough to take for carry-on luggage. Really can't beat it for the price.
