I am a fan on North Face light hikers, However these great looking shoes are nothing like previous NF hikers I have purchased. Too small, no arch too narrow. Zappos was great with their return policy and I bought a pair of New Balance Trail shoes the fit great!

way too small. I have bought NF shoes 4 times before over the past 8 years, and the sizes were just right for my feet (13 mens). I got a new pair of the VECTIV Exploris FUTURELIGHT and they were way too small. Although sized at 13, I would guess that they fit at 11 or 12. Way too tight. I had to return them.

These shoes are extremely narrow and stiff on the side. They have caused major foot pain on the ball of my feet.

They are my first pair of hiking shoes. I only wore them once (my first hiking) and the front of my tennis shoe peeled off.

These tend to be tight and the tread wears out extremely quickly. Futurelight is also the poor man's Gore-Tex and not at all as effective over time.

Most important info first: these are not waterproof. If you need something that won't soak through in the rain or when walking through a bit of water, DO NOT get these. They are pretty comfortable though and have otherwise held up fairly well. I got these back in March and have used them pretty regularly, mostly on dayhikes, but also a few multi-day backcountry backpacking trips. The shoes are comfortable and feel pretty good even after a full day of hiking with a pack on. They're just not waterproof. My brother got a pair shortly after I got mine (because they look pretty good for hiking shoes and were comfortable) and his are also soaking through anytime it rains or they touch water, so the issue isn't a one-off. I've sent mine in to their warranty department and expect to be given a refund, as it's my understanding that this is the issue with all the new Vectiv/Futurelight shoes.

Terrible petroleum smell that would not go away. Too bad, seemed to be a great trail runner.

After only 3 months of use the seam came unglued. Would not recommend. The north face did not want to repair or replace.
