Great ,stable trail runner. Tweaks/Improvements make this shoe more comfortable in the fore foot. Better/Closer fitting around the ankle. The Gore Tex works. The sole is grippy.
I have found the right shoe now trying to find every trail:)

This is my most versatile trail running shoe. It's comfortable and stable. Running in wet grass, these shoes have good traction & remain dry. This is my pick for walking around town when I travel.

Had these for a month or so now and been loving them, feel a little more comfortable than the Sense Ride 3's I have had for a while. The Goretex means I don't get wet feet on early morning runs in the dew or when it rains, which it does here a lot. I run a mix of trails with a bit of tarmac thrown in and I find these are perfect for that, even when it starts to get muddy I still have good grip.

These are good for walking or running on wet grass or muddy ground, or just out and about if it's raining. They're comfortable, light and squidgy but with excellent grip for grassy banks etc. Waterproof too obviously. I've done about 50 miles in them now and like them a lot.

Have been using it mostly for hiking for about nine months. Although has got a few scratches it has lasted well in the rocky environments.
I'm satisfied with the comfort, even after long hours of walking.

This is my second pair! I love these shoes. Great for early morning walks / runs / hikes with the dog when the grass and trails are still wet. Waterproof, good traction, the speed lacing system is great. Get 'em while you can!

Does the SENSE RIDE 4 GORE-TEX INVISIBLE FIT shoe fit the same as the SENSE RIDE 4?

I've run in both the Gore Tex and non-Gore Tex models of this shoe and it just keeps getting better. I just spent the past week running in ice and snow and the traction was awesome. The Gore Tex also performed perfectly keeping my feet both dry and warm. In the past I've run strictly on trails and these shoes performed equally as well in muddy/slippery conditions. These are now my go-to shoes for all conditions, good and bad!!!

As a professional caddie, I have found that Salomon shoes are my go-to footwear in all weather conditions. I bought the Gore Tex version of this SensiRide shoe model and it performs well in wet weather, keeping my feet dry and comfortable during the five hours on the course. The sole grips the turf very well, yet doesn't mark up putting greens. Works great as a golf shoe too!

Very comfortable and once you get used to the quick pull laces you want them on every shoe and sneaker you own !

I've had several pairs of the Sense Rides. Multiple different models from the first generation to the current. I have not been disappointed with any of them. Great cushion, comfortable fit and good grip on all surfaces.
I've ran in many different types of shoes and this one is my favorite. You know you've got the right shoe when you pull it out of the box and it feels and fits perfectly.

Really like these for lightweight support and stability. Will get another pair. Shoes hardly lasted a season though...uppers completely torn through on both sides, all lace loops torn through.

Somehow, this shoe contains most of the qualities one would desire, but the finished product doesn't quite match up. The fit is loose and the shoe runs more wide than most Salomons. The oversized midsole has cushion, but manages to bottom out more frequently than similar shoes. While I'm using them daily, I find myself looking forward to the day I can replace them with something more comfortable.

I've loved tPast versions of this shoe for walking fairways and wet grass while covering sports. Only issue is the tow box has changed from a wedge running shoe to a boxy hiking shoe which makes the size bigger by a half size. Maybe bigger socks would help but that defeats the whole sensing part of the shoe.

On my third pair of these and I love them as always. This model seems to run a bit big. I usually wear 10.5 US and I could have probably gone a half size down. Still overall a great shoe!

I bought these a year ago. First time with quick laces and loved. Comfort was awesome. However, the shoes started to deteriorate after six months and unsure how much distance remains. These were not waterproof which was added disappointment. My previous pair were built to last and wondering if worth trying Sense Ride 5 Gore-Tex. Tough decision as really liked fit and comfort.

you get all the comfort of sense ride shoes but gore-tex is pointless here since the sides are so low that your heels will be soaked if there's any water/rain around.

I wish Salomon would go back to making normal, good looking shoes...they have strayed in the past few years to either all black, or funky color combinations. The comfort is good in these shoes but the quick laces were way way too long (down to my toes).

I bought these with the intention of using them for hiking on well made paths and country roads. . So although the Sense Ride 4 GTX is deemed to be "neutral" by Salomon, it's a soft neutral in my opinion. I am an over pronator. The Sense Ride 4 GTX does not support my foot well, I can feel my feet rolling inwards with them on. My usual Interpod Flex orthotics will not stay in place inside them either. No other Salomon boot or shoe I've owned has that problem. Full length Superfeets stay put ok though. The inhereant soft low support from the shoe compromises the ability of the orthotic to do it's work. The lacing comes too high up the foot towards the front of the ankle and cuts in after a while... and there lies the huge disadvantage of the quicklace system, lack of eyelet adjustability. So in all I don't use them as much as I thought I would and use them mostly for short distances. The sole is very grippy and inspires confidence.

I have had the shoes for about 6 weeks now. I bought these to replace a pair of speed cross. I like a lot about the shoes, but i am having an issue where there is a bubble under the ball of my foot on the left shoe. I tried changing out the foot beds, but the issue is within the construction of the shoe itself. Was hoping that it would flatten itself out after a few miles, but that has not proven to be the case. It is a soft bubble, so more annoying then anything else.
