Wear them as casual, work out and hang out

The shorts are extremely comfortable and durable, I went on a 6 hour bike ride and 4 hours kayaking in these shorts. They were perfect as they look good aswell

The shorts are pricey. But, they are durable and comfortable. I would not consider them optimal for working out -- especially rigorous exercise. But, they are great for long walks, hiking in warm climates, and casual wear.

I wear these shorts basically everywhere. They're super comfy but still don't feel cheap or too casual. I often climb in them and they've been able to hold up pretty well. Would definitely recommend.

My 15 yr old son loves these because they fit better than all the other athletic shorts out there, which he complains are too long. These are a good length on his 5'8" frame (he got a size small). Lightweight and comfortable, we'll probably order another pair.

I like the way these fall on my hips and the length. They flare out a little at the bottom in a way I like. There is a left zipper pocket behind the regular open pocket which makes it a little stiff in the area but I'm sure it'll come in handy. Heavier than running shorts, medium-weight. Can't vouch long-term but am excited to wear them this summer and think they have potential for basically all activities.

Ive been looking for a pair of shorts like these for a long time. Most running shorts only have a small pocket large enough for chews or snacks. These have three pockets, one of them having a large enough to carry an iPhone and keys. They are nice and stretchable and the fabric seems likes it's going to hold up for a long time. I ended up ordering three more pairs. By far the most comfortable shorts I've own.

For some reason, this color fits larger than all the other colors I have of the same shorts. Went size L

Good summer shorts, a little bit tight around the hips and possible too form fitting. Material quality is high.

Love the fill and how light they are. Would have been perfect with a back pocket although they have a side one with zipper

Awesome shorts! They did come with a tear in the seam, but nothing too noticeable.

Really like these shorts. The fit is perfect. I'm a 32 waist,165 pounds, and the medium is just right. I buy North Face gym shorts because I like the zippered side pocket. Much better than a rear pocket in the gym. If you like a roomy pocket these are the shorts for you, but my last pair of NF gym shorts had a much smaller zippered pocket that kept my phone snug. This pocket, because of its size, causes the phone to bounce around, so it's not great for jogging outside or aerobics in the gym. Otherwise the shorts are great.

Different length than the same short purchased a few years prior.

Purchased a pair of these while on vacation and liked them so much I ordered three more pairs. The three pairs were made of a different country and were 1.5-2in shorter than my original pair... disappointed but I guess my legs could use the tan...

too big. wish there was a way to synch the waist. had to return. I did like the quality and the zipper pocket is great to keep a cell phone safe that is why I gave three stars.

Nice look and fit. Probably would not buy again because there is no back pocket.

I think the size runs a little small or my waist is getting bigger. Good material and great walking shorts

The shorts are fine for athletic wear but the fabric makes a slightly annoying swishing sound when walking or running. They are also a bit heftier than I had imagined. You can work out, run, or hike in these but I doubt it'll be the most comfortable experience.
