The filter lets a lot of sludge through. I have to filter the coffee after it's brewed to eliminate the fines at the bottom.

Should have been a french press, not a pour over. Would not buy again

If you like your coffee with lots of sediment and chalky this is the filter for you I wish I could return it.

Thiswill fit on the newer (post 2002) bottles but it's not well balanced. I would not trust it to stay without hands on at all times. It will not fit on the older design (pre-2002). That being said, I'm not a fan of this pour-over (fka a coffee cone). The holes are too big in the strainer and it results in sludge at the bottom of every cup. I've tried all grinds including coarse which I use in my percolators. Additionally you can't keep adding water like a traditional pour over. You have to pour the desired amount in all at once. This looked great on the surface to me, but sadly I'm disappointed.
