I like these Merrell's but someone else mentioned in a review they had a wide heel - they do. I thought I could help the issue with custom lacing and it does help but if you have narrow heels I would recommend you try another shoe. I'm keeping mine as I've already put many miles on them - but the heel fit continues to nag me every time I put them on. The only other thing I don't care for -- and it's strictly looks is that the bottom sole sticks out behind the heel -- they look fine from the front but squished from the back/side! Comfy, soft and good support.

The size was right but the arch support was in the wrong place, same on another pair of Merrell that I tried so it’s likely y hat I just can’t wear this brand. Also, the extra piece at the back made it very difficult going down stairs, it kept catching on the previous stair.

These have a decent amount of room in the toe area. Good support, however, they didn't fit my problem foot and I returned them. They also made my feet look huge w the way the sole of the shoe extends outward at the heel.

This shoe is adorable online, and then they became something else in person. The high back pushed my foot forward, the compacted lace holes pushed the top of my foot down and back super tight (loosening laces does not help since it's the position of the numerous lace holes that caused issue for me), and the arch inside felt off (or it was because the back pushed my foot forward that the arch felt awkward). The colors are adorable from the side, but looking down the dark colors/lace position made my foot look very fat/bulky. A definite miss for me all the way around & love Merrell footwear. Bummer. Thought I was going to love this shoe - as I have several Merrell shoes. Fit too flat - heel should be higher - not flat to front of shoe. Very disappointed and returned immediately. I will not spend top dollar for a mediocre shoe and this is clearly mediocre.
